My plan was to cut the cab mounts off and weld them to the frame. The tube is still 120 wall, plenty strong. If I make them weld on would anyone be interested?

Just built this rack Saturday, welds on the sliders should be similar.

Nice looking bar stand. Slap "Rogue" on it, mark it up 40000% and sell it for $$$$

I was tired of leaning them up against the wall. Some scrap steel and a little time. Saved about 150 bucks

Are you putting a lift on or just keeping it stock?

Just swapping out the shocks. Thinking .85 on front as I had the rear leaf TSB a couple years back and even with my cap, it's still a wee bit higher in rear.

I'd go to autoclone and 'rent' their spring compressor do a bit of reading go slow and careful and take the front apart. It's easy, took me less than an hour first try. Nod the rear shocks are even more straight forward. And that is about $250 in labor. That's a bunch of tools to do this again in 50,000 miles.

I really don't have the tools (floor jack, jack stands, etc. to do the work).

I'm assuming your looking at Bilstein 5100 so the shocks alone are $320ish. I'd call around and see what someone else might be able to do the work for. My friend Jeremy at Village Center Auto helped my put my Light Racing UCA on and he does great work, I'm not sure what he'd charge for shocks installation but 350 seems high.

I did my install myself following this https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=vkVLBOnAifc
Just make sure its a good floor jack that you can control the release

Oh I see. In that case you could get all the tools (jack, stands, and spring compressor) for about $275 from any parts store around in sure.
But it is way less time to pay someone :)

I've got a lot of tools of the woodworking kind.

I don't mind paying a fair price for a quality install!

I second that. The rears will be super simple, and the fronts dont take more than basic hand tools and a Jack. If anything do the rears yourself and have the fronts done by the shop.

One of the guys I work with had his GMC 1500 lifted there. He didn't have any complaints.

Like was mentioned above, you could always rent all the tools(even ratchet sets etc) from autozone or similar. They only put a hold on your card and then release it when you return everything so it doesn't cost you anything.

That's not too far. I'm willing to work out a deal for such a generous offer! Wasn't planning to do this until spring. Drop me a pm and we can talk further.
