I forgot this step in the thread lol. This one is important. We spent about an hour scuffing the bed with these pads. We tried to sand and clean the bed hooks but they were the only big loss in this one. Went to the dealer and picked up some new ones. They were cheap no biggie.

we scratched until the shiny of the clear was gone. We also sanded all the surface rust spots completely to the metal. With 2 1/2 people it went really fast. Ok she isn't half a person just little :lalala: It really just need some ruff clean spot to attach to.
Also this kit was only 74 bucks at Ace hardware. Best price I could find. It wasn't even on sale there, but might save some people a bit of money.

I'm not gonna do the from haha, it was already done when I got the truck, just the bottom 1/3 of the body of the truck, I tend to end up on 4 wheeler trails more then I don't somehow, save from some scratches...

Tacoma is stock and staying that way, Pickup is TBA as of now.
Some people are really lowlife pieces of shit that treat dogs like novelty items and get them because they're cute and fuzzy but when the person realizes how big of a responsibility and dedication they are, they just throw them out like trash or dump them off in a shelter. Ugh, don't even get me started, the mistreatment of animals in this country is deplorable.

But finding a dog who knows how to do all those things is pretty rare indeed! House-training was always my least favorite thing about my dogs but once they get past that it's all good!

Yeah we had a dog that had to be put down last year and I think my wife has been lost without her pup. We thought we would try and find one that just needed a home and maybe save it from the needle. He is literally amazing. He is great with my little girls, and hasn't done even one thing that would make you think about removing him from the home. You could pay thousands of dollars and not get one as good as him. Great temperament and a big teddy bear. They did say at the shelter he doesn't like other dogs but that works ok for us.

Yep, I swear by adoption, it is the right thing to do in my book. So many homeless pets need loving homes and millions have to be euthanized each day because shelters are breaking at the seams and cannot take them all. We've got 3 dogs now but may add another soon, we're unsure yet.

I need to find a safe way to transport him in the bed, and comfortable. I haven't really looked yet but the cab is pretty much full with all 5 of us lol. Any ideas?

Maybe one of those plastic crates with the wire door and strap it down in the bed good? As long as it's not terribly hot or cold out and he has something soft to lay on he should be fine in something like that I would think.

All 3 of my dogs just hang out in the bed of my truck, only issue I've ever is them peeing in it.

Final Product. It came out pretty good I think. Still waiting on the new bed hooks but application is done and dry. It still looks wet but its not.

looks great, that shine will probably take a good 3 months to go away.

how many coats did you put on and how much paint did you end up using?

and why didn't you do the tailgate inspection cover? I understand you may have been going for a "look" but that's the #1 spot that gets all the abuse and needs the coating the most. you could always repaint it red after coating it.
