I have the Destination LE2's. And just in time for real winter weather.

I have the Destination LE2s on my Sport and I like them so far. At first I thought they were wussy tires and replaced them with Cooper ATPs in a slightly larger size. The ATPs were horribly noisy and the sidewalls were unstable at highway speeds. I used the satisfaction guarantee at Discount Tire to get my LE2s put back on. They're pretty much silent and excellent in the snow and ice (I have a lot where I live and I can get by in 2wd most of the time with the LE2s). They would be useless for serious 4 wheeling since they're P rated/4 ply, but they're good for a stock tire for highway driving.

I unfortunately got the Toyo A30's. Looks like the Firestones have a wear rating of 520, whereas the Toyo's only 300. I've moved up to the Toyo AT2's and got a little bit of trade-in on the A30's.

Are most aftermarket tires E rated (10 ply) that are used with new wheels and tires after suspension upgrade? I really don't want to use that stiff of tire, but not many options. What air pressure do you run in them and are they very stiff on a 2016 Tacoma?

There are many P rated and C rated LT tires. I have the P265/70-17 now. I would have gone with a C rated version if they had it, but don't need a hard-core offroad tire. They ride as smooth as the stock tires, 65k warranty, and currently have pressure set to 35F / 33R psi.

I was looking for 275/70/17. Not many options. Want to get Toytec lift and ensure no rubbing and fender liner cutting. I really like the Cooper ST Maxx.

'cuz they are cheap as dirt, they are nothing special whatsoever

if toyota was really looking out for you, they'd have slapped on michelin ltx m/s2 greenx, 200 bucks a pop. twice the cost of the destinations

I'm ok with the LE2's. Not so naive that I think Toyota is looking out for me. Their motive is to produce a product at a reasonable profit.

I replaced my Toyo's with the LE 2s on my Highlander and could not be any happier. They are great in snow. I am glad I have the LE 2s on the Taco and not the Toyo's.

Agree 100%. I took my sport through 3 hours of nasty, wet snow in Tahoe today and the Firestones worked great. Read the reviews, most people love these tires.

Yup a lot of people love the LE 2s. So when I noticed that it was on the Taco and not the crappy Toyo's I was like... "good job Toyota!"

very impressive tire choice my ass...

if those were michelins I would agree.

putting those destinations on a truck cripples it's use as a 'tough work truck' imho

ok for on-road only and you are not rambling up skidder roads and
dirt tracks OK...and also not hitting the elevated metal edges of storm drains on roads under construction...
    stuff like that

but wait till you go offroad and scuff up the sidewalls with some granite rock squeezes
or plow into a huge pothole at 80 or hit elevated storm drains at 50...

sidewalls like to rip open whereas better tires can handle it
steel belts tend to separate on these cheaper tires if you knock them around hard
[whereas more careful engineering and better materials and assembly can be had
    with the high-end stuff]

    [been there done that]

it is all marketing BS praising the firestone le on a tacoma.
