    True. But that's a lot of fab work. For the majority of us peasant off roaders the mount tor posted will get us by :)

    They are both the same thing. They both use the upper coil bucket assembly to tie in the bars, except the one Jeff shows has two bars running across so it mounts up in two different sections using different kinds of gusseting to tie it all together.

    Really though, the only difference between the two is that one uses the TC dual shock hoop which has a dimpled gusset additionally built which is tied into the coil bucket assembly and secondary shock inner tab for additional flex support.

    Jeff, I still really don't think the dual crossmember bar design will work for your setup because of the blower. The two outlets on the side cause interference, as well as the air pump assembly on the other side of the engine. That was a huge issue when it we were trying to design my crossmember bar remember?

    Yep, but I think something like yours plus one that runs behind the blower and some connecting tubes would be a boatload stronger. Also, my fab guy thinks instead of tubing he can run some boxed plate over the top to clear the SC. My limited grasp of geometry tells me that the way yours is designed just doesn't lead towards as much strength as possible during a hard hit.

    That was my concern as well, but upon talking to him he mentioned that all it's there for is to prevent distortion during an attempt at flexing the frame and as long as something is there (and it's not sideways) it will always help. He does this stuff on the regular so I trust his judgement enough to feel at ease in my mind.

    Ok. Well, I'm gonna make sure all of my stuff is over engineered to the extreme lol. Would rather that than twist a frame because someone 'does it all the time'. In my personal opinion, I would have asked Anthony to at least throw another tube along the back wall and connect the two around the SC. Even if its all bolt in stuff, the tubes going around the SC and connecting would provide much more support. Remember, you're the customer, if you don't think something looks right, even of the 'experts' say its fine, you should always question everything and strive for the best. Now, don't get me wrong, Anthony does great work, and that engine thing on yours looks pretty beefy, but the fact that its at sich an angle basically running along your radiator just doesnt seem right to me.

    But we'll see!
    We both know you're gonna test it out as much as possible :rofl:

I would had definitely preferred a secondary as well, hell, who is tho say that I can't have him add on one running to alongside the rear at some point, but I agree, I would had liked to have had two on there instead of just one. You bet your ass off I am going to test it out as much as possible!

    So, I can't help but wonder about the radiator bushings; the way they seem to get all mashed up, is it because they are kind of a "sacrificial" part? I mean that they're getting warped because stuff is flexing and taking them out. If they are replaced with something much more rigid, is something going to crack or break later instead now that there is no "give" in the mounting system? Me thinks it better to replace rubber bushings than a cracked radiator or have to weld up sheet metal that was tweaked until it broke.
    Your thoughts please?

    So, heres my thinking, if its designed to have the small bushing on top, wouldn't putting the large bushing on top be a form of a body lift, but if you only do it on the front end youd be causing stress on the body between the front end and the cab? Or am I missing something.

    Ooooook, that made sense in my head and I wanted to make sure there wasn't any outside information I was missing. So putting the large bushing on top of a new truck is just asking for the body to tweak.

    Had a clunk up front that was noticed when entering and exiting a steep driveway turning left or right (@2000kms) . Toyota said cab mounts were loose so they torqued them. Fine for another 10000kms, Toyota tightened them up again and now its back.
    Could my mounds be damaged?
