I just looked at this thread for the first time and I'm glad it's still being used. Hopefully when I get my 16 I'll be able to contribute again.

Cruised through Box Canyon today with some buds and I must say I can't wait to go back. I learned I may need some sort of protection for the driveshaft and gas tank. Fun, fun day

 

Going up the waterfall is probably more fun than going down it.
It's changed quite a bit over the last 2 years. We ran it just after the hugs floods last year and I couldn't recognize parts. The Price entrance especially.

 

It was my first time there. We went in through the price way and were obviously unsure which way to go, but we just kept trucking till we rolled in on a line of sidebysides and figured we found it. At the waterfall, I ran it up the left side and thought that was fun but I wanted to test myself and the truck a little bit.That far right was gnarly for my truck so I wheeled up the middle and ended up dragging myself up it, taking 10 minutes of our time. It sure was a blast.

 

That's the stuff that you bend driveshaft on. I bent mine on a trail that feed into Box Canyon

 

I believe you. I was on the driveshaft/gas tank for a bit. I found a way up it, but not with out the crowd going "ouch!"

 

I'm off work for two weeks and kicked it off by rollin around Mingus mountain

 

ahhh yes.. the Driveshaft pinstriping of Box..

@iJonny and I are well aware of that. lol

Nice pics from Mingus. havent been up there in awhile. We were just southwest of Mingus last weeked in the Bradshaws..

 

I have repressed the memory of needing to resleeve a driveline due to that trip...

 

that trip is what changed my mind going to a One Piece.. lol

 

It will just cost more to fix when you do it again. The only solution is to just stick to dirt roads lol

 

Actually this happened while climbing the 1st obstacle at Elvis. Truck slipped over enough on to a giant boulder I was trying to avoid.
Josh got it a lot worse than I did. That was when I was open diff and a DB lift.

 

thats why im NOT doing a one piece. and theres no fun in that..

Yer truck looks good in the snow Moose. We almost decided to head there instead.

I didn't drive all the way to Box to mamby pamby the trail a couple weeks back. May or may not be the smartest move, but usually more memorable. Im just going to fabricate a custom skid underneath.
