I ran 3 full tanks of gas since I put on my 285/70/17s and I'm getting 18mpg.

Nice, did you mess around with the crawl control at all?

We used a lot of 4LO for some trails and once over the hill in the 4x4 area. I went into the sand pit thinking it was sand without walking it first, then realized it was really just a short rock course.... did it once and left that area. I had to go over a few rocks with one wheel and had the VSC on in 4 wheel. It kicked in and flashed the slip light and cut power. I didn't want to go into 4LO to get the TRAC OFF and I didn't know I could kill the VSC in 4 wheel so I backed up and gassed it a little to bump over it. I read Chapter 4 of the manual tonight and now I know what to do in 4 wheel to keep power no matter what.

I had it in 4LO once on a flat section and turned on the crawl control. After a few feet of banging and clanking from under the hood, I turned it off and drove up the hill with my foot light on the throttle. I will try using it next time on something after I figure it out more.

I didn't have to use the MTS on the wet dirt we drove on. I forgot I had the tires at 36psi until after we left. It never slipped except for the time I came out of some sand in 2 wheel getting onto a road. It was awesome and performed well.

This is off topic, but where was it listed that the TRD models come with Heated Mirrors? I thought only the Canadian models came with Heated Mirrors?

I have heated mirrors on my 2016 TRD Sport...in TEXAS! I also have heated seats.

My mind was blown as well. I'll use them for like two weeks a year. Air conditioned seats, though...

Heated seats and mirrors are included in trucks with the Tech Package.

Heated mirrors are standard on all models even without the tech package iirc.

Looks like every 2016 tacoma. Looked at a base SR online at a local dealer and it had the heated mirrors button.

Installed two brackets with quick fist to install shovel and an axe. Wife thought I would need four brackets and I ended up using only two. I may have an extra set ( 2 brackets and 4 quick fist clamps) for sale if I don't end up finding a good use. BOLO on the For Sale forum...local sellers only in Denver, CO. Cheers :proposetoast:

Did you only order the mesh part of the grille and then glue it to the bezel like they show on their website?

Was it pretty simple to install?

It's strong enough to pick up the truck if you put it in the right place. I don't know how strong the rail is that it is attached to but it seems to work great with two dirt bikes attached to it
