This is the one for low clearance. I know I would worry about something hitting it and damaging the oil pan. This is the one to get from the reviews on Amazon I have been reading.

just crawled under the truck and if you put that valve there is a cross member right below the oil pan and there is about 3-4 inches from the plug to the bottom of that cross member so if you put one on there is no way your going to hit it on something without hitting the cross member first!

I was thinking that myself and was going to slip up under my truck tomorrow and look when I was out. You saved me the trip. That clear plastic hose I can buy at the local farm supply store. If a guy changed his oil inside you would not need the hose. Outside the wind would blow the thin stream of oil all over.

I think I'll get one of these before Betty's 1st birthday and do my own oil changes. That way I know what oil goes in her.

I've used the fumoto on my last 3 vehicles without issue. I've got the short nipple one and hose waiting for my next oil change, and in conjunction with an adapter/hose for the filter drain, this will just about be a dripless oil change in the future.

I don't think my 4 cylinder has a filter drain. Wish it did though. Sounds like you are all set.

I will follow the manual as far as Frequency and Type of Oil goes. Have had plenty of high mileage vehicles and they've all done great by following the owners manual.

I allways changed mind within the first month. its a new engine, after seeing the boundary samples at work, you might be surprised what comes out.

The idea is to run the engine for a while before changing. So there is no "dirtiest oil" that isn't getting drained
