11/24 - Go to Claremont Toyota and asked them about the headlight TSB. Bam. Ordered. Easy as pie. They tell me they will be in around two weeks. They will call me when they come in. Issue is I didn't get any paperwork. My fault. I figured I didn't buy anything and all my paperwork would be given when they do the work.

12/4 - I call to see if they are in. I no longer wait for them to call me like they say they will. I've ordered quite a few things and they've never notified me. I'm always the one who has had to call. So anyway, I call and speak to someone else on service because the individual who I originally met in person and ordered the lights wasn't at his desk. They can't find any of my info. They actually tell me "are you sure you came to this dealership?"
On my way home I stop in and find the original person I ordered from and he supposedly finds my info right away. Says whoever I spoke to didn't look it up correctly. He gives me a print out and I tell him to call me when they come in since he's told me 2-3 times that if the lights are there and I don't go on within to weeks they send them back and I'm SOL.

12/14 - I call checking status. They are in. (Once again no one called me to notify me) I schedule the appointment for the upcoming Saturday. Lucky for the original service tech he's not in that day so he schedules it under someone else. No problem. Guy has been lackluster so far.

12/19 - Check in truck. Head to breakfast. Get a call saying I'm not covered because according to their records the lights were ordered on 12/4. Warranty expires 11/30. They said I will need to show proof. All I have on me at that time is my phone with text messages between Jerez and I. Service tech says that will help and asks me to meet with the Customer Relaions Rep "Zupe"
I told him everything above and all he does is thumb through my service history repeating "yeah...it's not here." "your truck has a lot of miles." He points out that since the truck was never logged by a dealership how do they know when the bubbling started. I told them it doesn't matter when it started and if the issue is there the warranty covers it. While he went back to reading the vehicle report shaking his head and pulled up an old picture from TW in 2012 or 2013 when the bubbling started. He tells me the forum isn't legit proof so it really doesn't help my case. He ten tries saying that the warranty probably won't go through because I've never taken my truck to a Toyota Dealer I get any scheduled maintenance. I told him what does oil changes and cabin filters have to do with a TSB for headlights. After some back and forths he has to call someone on Monday. Can't remember the exact name but it's the regional person who handles the warranty claims. He will personally call me at 9am on Monday (yesterday.)

12/21 - no call. lol. I call and leave a message on his office phone. He calls back an hour later and says he notified the individual and they are looking into it and he will call me back. He also mentions on the voicemail that he spoke with the original service tech who ordered my lights and remembers it was done in November.

12/21 - they ordered the lights the same day I picked up some parts. So to try and get more dates/info I call the parts department and try to get THEM to tell me when I picked them up but they say that once the order is "closed" it doesn't show any dates.

I'm just wondering what you guys would do now? I'm thinking they are just stalling to try and put more and more time in between the expiration date.

Thoughts?

 

TL;DR version

Dealership not honoring headlight TSB due to employee fuck up.

 

So my steering wheel started vibrating a couple days ago. Only when I use the accelerator. Once I coast it stops. I don't think it vibrates at high speed I can't remember. Any idea what it is? My exhaust is a little loose but just from those rubber mounts that hang on the hanger but I'm pretty sure it's meant to move a little bit. I can't find anything wrong and I don't want anything bad to happen

what games do you have?? Just seem like they are weaseling out the the xbox 360 games.

that is other thing do i look at the 1tb or 500 gb. On my xbox 360 i still have 200 gb left on a 250 gb drive.

 

I used to use my 360 as movie hub as well. I'd store all my dvds on there so the more memory I had was better. All depends on how you're going to use it.
