Agreed but for now a new pair will do while I invest in better ones.

I don't think you can find better customer service, they stand behind their product which unfortunately not all companies do. For what it's worth I have had zero issues with the first ball joint I replaced and I am not gentle with my truck.

I also never liked the sliding upper ball joint on those either. but thats just my personal preference.

How much time has gone by since the last revision was made on these? I've been considering the Light Racing UCA's but want to make sure they have got all the issues ironed out and hopefully a bit of time where people have not been having any issues.

During a recent service we discovered that the balljoints on my old style LR UCA's had finally given up after 5 years , and the bushings were looking suspect .

Having read about a bunch of guys having luck getting their old style LR UCA's warrantied by SPC I fired them off an email asking if there was anything they could do for me . As I originally purchased the arms online through Toytec they suggested I go through them first as apparently Toytec prefers to handle their own warranty issues . The response from Toytec was pretty much what I expected that I was outside of the warranty period and that bushings and balljoints were wear items and they offered me 5% off new product for being a TW member .

No hard feelings towards Toytec because I really didn't expect a reseller to honour something outside of the regular timeframe , but I sent Toytec's response on to SPC to see if I was indeed at a dead end with this and would have to spring for new parts . The SPC rep said he would forward it on to his manager , manager contacted me a couple days later asking me for some info on the truck and serial numbers on the arms and a couple days ago he shipped me brand new arms free of charge / no shipping charge . The only stipulation was they had to ship to a US address so I used a freight forwarding service I have used before and today I went and picked them up at the airport . Total cost to me was $25 for the importation / shipping from Blaine , WA

A new set of arms was going to cost me $650 by the time I paid the currency conversion to US , shipping and GST

Good to hear; especially since you have always had good things to say about them.

crazy that was warrantied after being in use for 5 years......

    Awesome for you, though.

so are these all issues from the old style of arms or any from a new set?

That's some good customer service right there! Sounds like you had a decent run with the UCA's too.... especially considering they were an earlier version.

And as annoying as it is dealing with getting things fixed I haven't found a company in any business that stands behind their product like SPC.

To be totally honest I was going to be really happy if they just sent new bushings and balljoints

It seems like their only criteria is did you buy it from an approved vendor
