Wut, no stikerz? How do the kids know you spent money? Or at least make them think you spent money? Or show them what you like and aspire to? Dude. Stikerz are cool. Like penis spacerz.

Performed great giving me shelter from the winds that were blowing like crazy. It was probably in the teens outside, but nice and cozy inside especially with my 0 degree sleeping bag!

Also really interested in seeing people's lockable storage + softopper solutions. I was thinking of doing a crossover toolbox, but maybe softopper + toolchest is a more flexible combination...

Aahhh, hadn't even thought about that. Which means, then, that a soft topper is totally out of the question, despite the fact that I see them as being a really convenient cover.

The weight saving is clear and certainly helps with maintaining capacity for other cargo, but I will say I'm getting better MPG with my fiberglass than softopper. I chalk this up to less drag.

I want to pick up a Softopper soon but I still have the stock bed liner that goes over the bedside rails. Does anyone know if it will fit over the liner or will I have to take it out entirely?

Since you are posting in 2nd gen you must have a 2nd gen. That isn't a bedliner, it is the bed itself.

Apologies, I noticed that after I posted the question. I've been digging around and can't find anything regarding the 1st gen bed liner compatibility.

Sorry about that. Just assumed 2nd gen and you wouldn't have been the first person to assume it was a bedliner.

Here is a bump for your question.

If you drop Softopper an email or give them a call they will know.

Lol, I didn't notice this was a 2nd gen thread either...no wonder somebody had said, "why is your truck so small" :p

It will fit. Doesn't look weird either. You will have to cut the liner so you can get to the bolts

How well does the tan color hold up over time? Does it stain easily?

Can someone show me close up pictures and provide measurements of how far the softtopper side rail arm/hardware goes into the truck bed from the side lip of the bed( at close and open). Looks like 3 to 4 inches. Also how far the canvas top sits down in the bed fully closed.

What I'm trying to do is figure out if I can get a soft topper on top of a roll and lock cover. I'm trying to figure out if I fab a mount/rail that sits on top of the roll and lock rail, how much higher would I have to make it so the roll and lock and work without being interfered or blocked by the soft topper arms.

    Thanks for time.

^ your idea won't work easily....soft topper arms dip into the bed pretty far

Thanks. Those close hi-res images are perfect. Looks like 6 to 8+ inches dip into the bed when fully open which eliminates having the topper fully open AND the roll n lock fully closed/locked up.

How about the topper being closed? Does the arms dip in there too much? Maybe I can have both installed with a little bit of fab of a c-channel and use one or the either but not both at the same time... Ie. softtopper fully open and no roll n lock engaged or roll n lock engaged and the softtopper folded.
