I did not do the front diff drop or the shim for the rear diff or the sway bar relocation. Everything seems ok without it.

About how much lift did you get by running the 6112s at the 3rd notch?

After a few weeks the 6112 settled to around 1.75" of lift at the 3rd notch.

Are you able to clear 285s at that setting or are you running stock tires or a different size?

    Thanks

While I haven't tried 285 I'm pretty confident I wouldn't clear. According to numerous knowledgeable forum members it's very hard to fit 285 on a simple 2-3" lift with out a cab mount chop or significant wheel spacers due to the 285 width. Currently I'm running 265/70r17 roughly 32". I plan on trying to clear the new BFG K02 34x10.5r17 tires when I scratch some money together.

I need to take more pics of my Taco. Not a great pic but mine is the one in the front, the only one of three without a roof rack (for now... cough Prinsu). And no this wasn't a MGM hollister hills meet day.

Is that an SR71? Or is that what you said was the YF12? Either way, that black jet looks like a bad bitch.

edit: yesh, YF12 was the SR71 prototype, so indeed it is a bad bitch.

My Taco is at the dealership getting a new frame with a new 4 leaf in rear. I also got the 6112-5160 set from HS OR and ordered at the 5th notch. Hope it isn't nose high???? Toyota called to double check and I confirmed to keep it on the 5th notch...any thoughts?

I did this exact same lift on mine and I'm here to tell you, it's perfect. I've mine on the 5th setting and did the Toytec Progressive 3 leaf system. The front springs are a bit beefier than the stock ones and the 6112s are tank shocks(they're massive). I'm super happy.
    Amazon-350 on the 5160s
    EBay-$579 on the 6112s.

Dang! $579 on eBay, that's a smoking deal. Did that price include shipping?

@Sandtaco how is the ride today now that everything has settled out? I am considering this route but gonna get OME 887 or 888 instead of the bilstein spring....would like to get the extra pe-load and only have to run on the 3rd notch of possible. Was anyone ever abe to get the specs on the 6112 spring? spring rate and length?
