Help! Can't get my new truck

Mine gets delivered right before Christmas. DCLB OR tech/prem non JBL, MGM with gunmetal interior.

$90,000 and I'll drive it to your house with a big bow on it

 

I contacted 100 dealers and communicated with 49 of them. We were looking for DCLB OR 4x4 in super white. Spent 2 months looking. One day my wife was bored at work and started a chat with a dealer she grew up near who is over 100 miles away. They happened to have one in allocation. They sent her the build sheet, she emailed it to me at work, I told her that's the one, she called them, we drove out there in traffic for 3 hours and gave them a 500 dollar deposit. Build date was 1 month away, it moved up a few days and was built on the 11th. Should be here by Christmas, hopefully.

So it's going to take some time and work to find a 7568 with what you want. Sticking with one dealer will not work

 

You called Toyota? Not your dealer and Toyota helped you? Can you explain this more. I am in a similar situation and the dealer cant seem to get the truck I ordered almost 2 months ago. Thanks!

 

Sort of. My dealer is great and assured me that they could get the truck that I wanted, even though my exact order wasn't being allocated to our region. They probably tried to switch allocated Tacomas to my build 3 or 4 times before Toyota accepted the change. My original order was placed at the end of August, and it was denied. They kept trying until finally it was accepted at the beginning of October, and I took delivery the week before Thanksgiving.

Call your dealer and straight up ask if your build was accepted. If they say it was, ask for the printout of the build sheet. If they can't give you a build sheet, the build was not accepted.

The only person that has the ability to place orders and access this information from Toyota is usually the managers and general manager

 

First they said it was accepted, now two weeks later they say it wasn't accepted,so now I have to decide if I want it without the tech package and with the black/orange interior!! Not sure what to do. This waiting game sucks.
