this is on my 2001 prerunner extended cab.

ok guys, I made some frame repairs last weekend and now my trucks sagging on the drivers side. particularly noticeable from the back of the truck.

my 1st guess is I may have welded the front spring mount (on the rear suspension) back on in the wrong spot. I F'd up and didn't measure when I was taking everything apart so I measured the passenger side as a reference. distance I measured was from the upper shackle bolt to the center of the front spring centering bolt. it came out to be 53 9/16 inches.

if anyone on here could get me a measurement off their truck that would be great just so I could have a starting point to try and figure out what I may have F/d up.

only other thing I can think of is the back of the frame may have sagged while I had it in the air even though I had the rear supported I suppose something could have happened. the spring mount is also the easiest thing to fix if I need to change anything.

How much are we talking about? Have you heard of the "taco lean" before? These trucks have a tendency to be a little lower on the drivers side.

sorry fellas no pics as of now.

its about 1.5 inch lower on the drivers side. ive heard of the lean and I notice the lean before but I figured it was in part caused by the frame falling to pieces.

oh yeah the 1.5 inch is measured from the top of the rear box rail. just above the tail light housing.

1.5" is alot. I think a fuckup could be the cause ahah. If you welded frame while it was sagging the pan would have been a bitch to bolt back on.

Mine leans about that much. Totally possible with older springs, Especially when the tank is full. Some guys add a leaf to the driver side to accomodate this

looks like theres about a million 01 truck owners on here judging by the build threads and everything else. figured someone would go out and put a tape to it for me but guess not.
