Starwars Battlefront

Love it. Best game I've played in awhile and I love FPS.

Heroes vs Villans is an epic game mode. Highly recommend.

 

Thinking about picking it up.....

 

Heard the game play got old after a hour or two. Lots of bad reviews and of course EA went back on their promise to not release DLC's and released a map pack for another $50. Sheesh, $100+ for a game... no thanks.

 

Sigh, after hearing reviews that it's not even as good as BF4 I'll likely pass on this until a complete edition comes out for $70 in a year. Then I can skip paying $200 bucks for the game, seasons pass, and other crap EA will try to sell me on another half finished piece of DICE crapola dressed up as Darth Vader.

 

You actually believed EA when they said they wouldn't jack people with a million and one freemium options on this game...

Sorry. I'll just let myself out. I felt as a long time Battlefield and Battlefront player I had to post here to vent. Every game DICE touches now is just a money pit for a half ass game .

 

Id buy it if it was ~$30 (including the "all new" map pack) but after watching all the online game play, watching some of the single player game play (30min worth only), just looked liked a game I would grow board with after the first two weeks.

 

No story mode?? wtf? so it's just random missions & multiplayer no one seems to like? this game looked so good with the hype , hopefully the movie isn't the same

 

The movie isn't being made by EA and Dice... Thank god.

If a game has either name on the label it's likely not worth the cost until it's in the bargain bin. The last Mass Effect, Dragon Age, Battlefield, and now this... all crap... sometimes even barely playable crap for a year until they patch it 5 times.

EA used to be a decent company that put out decent games. They are clearly grabbing for cash at this point. Rather than putting out product worth the dollars that they ask for.

Side missions for days...

 

Went from Rank 1 to 35 this past double XP weekend. I enjoy the game, and it's definitely for the couch casuals. I think that's why so many people have issues with it. They're so used to the OCD K/D, Min/Max intensive play of BF3/4. Hell my brother loves it as we both play on PS4 because it allows him to not give a fuck about his stats where with 700+ hours into BF4 he's quite OCD about his K/D and other stats on PC. I haven't played an FPS since the original COD Modern Warfare on 360 and I enjoy the hell out of this game. I got it with the PS4 bundle as my main reason for purchase was Fallout 4.

The only thing I wish they fixed are the cost of cards. I average only 500-700 credits per match. At 1700 credits per 25 charges I find myself credit starved just trying to keep up with my card use. Especially on the Endor maps and my liberal use of scan pulse.

If you already have a console or platform that can run it, I wouldn't fight it. Just go into it not expecting anything more than the Star Wars themed Pew Pew game that it is. It's also fun wrecking with multiple friends over voice comms.
