    Eh.

Wouldn't buy that modded of a truck with an SC secondhand.

    But that's me.

I messaged the PO on ebay and he gave me a lot of info on it. It was his brothers and spent most of it's life in New Mexico. He said his brother spent a fortune on it but did use it on trails in NM. Shoot him a message through ebay and he will give you his brother's contact information. The dealer doesn't have a clue what these mods cost and I'm thinking I would offer $23,000. Talk to Mike Anderson at Lakeway, he's full of crap but he's a good guy and will try his best to put the deal together. He's been there for 25 years and the managers listen to him on deals. I have his cell if you want it. I think the front sway bar has been removed but that's no biggie. I thought seriously about buying it but I'm in the middle of a Land Cruiser build and have spent way too much this year on it. I'm really surprised it's still there, figured it would be gone the first week.

Here's the last message his brother sent me on ebay.

"We got $23 for it about a month ago, IIRC. Not bad "markup" they're asking all considered. My brother's a pig: they probably had to put $1,000 into just cleaning and detailing it.

Yeah, he put tons of $$ into it. All the enhancements were top-grade stuff. The winch, lights, lockers, airbags, suspension, wheels, tires etc. are all top-shelf. If I had to -guess- I'd say he put $20K into it over/above purchase price. I know it was a lot since he -won't- tell me.

It was beautifully maintained... he may be a slob, but he takes care of his vehicles. Always dealer-serviced at minimum intervals.

He lived in New Mexico and used it out in the mountains and the national forest. No problems or issues (I got no reason to fib to you - I'd tell you if there were). Mostly just that the boy had 4 vehicles (a car, two trucks and a ducati motorcycle) when he moved here to PA and something had to go... Taco was the newest/bestest/least usable here - and could bring in good money.

Only "issue" I know of is that the SOB doesn't corner worth a damn on a regular road: Swaybar was removed. Perfect for offroad, but the thing leans like a mother if you take a corner on concrete a bit too hard. It'll make the corner, but you feel like you're swinging off the edge...

Plus you can rack up some serious tickets if you're not careful with the supercharger on the beast.

If you have any specific questions about the exact upgrades and accessories, then I'll connect you with him. He knows that part a lot better then me... I was just the 'passenger'."

Oh dude, you are the man! Yeah, if you don't mind, I'd like to give Mike a call and I'll try and track down the PO's brother on eBay. Thanks again!

How difficult/expensive would it be to add a swaybar?

I honestly don't know but I really don't think it would be much. You can probably find a used one but wouldn't think a new one would be that expensive.

Sounds good. My suv rocks and rolls all over the dang place so if I can prevent that in our next vehicle it'd be ideal...

You're kind of putting the cart before the horse.

Hopefully your broadband advertising doesn't see someone scoop it out from under you!

Nice truck! Hope you get it, as it would be a great Xmas present... good luck!

BTW, what are the overhead switches for?

I'm fearing that as well, the broadband advertising. Maybe I'll delete the thread! Lol. And I'm wondering about the switches as well...maybe the fog lamps...?

Pretty sure it's for the lights. Sent you a message, Mike will hide that sucker so he can sell it to you. Hell I'll go get it and tell them I'm interested and they'll let me take it home over Christmas...........LOL On 2nd thought, that may not be a good idea because my wife likes it too ;)

I would probably offer them a $100 deposit over the phone to hold it till you get there on Saturday. Where are you driving from? Some guy on one of the overland sites I'm on was supposed go look at it but I think he was trying to trade something. Pretty sure Mike said he sent them a deposit to hold it but they gave it back to him when they couldn't make a trade.
