So i finally got my truck last night!!!!!!!! 2016 TRD Off-Road 4x4 DCSB. It is the perfect truck for me!

My question though is...at the dealer, we went over basic functions, but never went into a lot of detail. I wanted to be sure that the traction control can be turned all the way off and the salesperson assured me it could by simply pressing the button. I pressed it while stopped in the parking lot and a "AUTO LSD" light turned on on the dashboard and not a "TRAC OFF" light.

First of all, I got the Off Road package so I thought it didn't come with a LSD. Second, why didn't the TRAC OFF light come on?

All Tacomas have a ABS induced "Auto LSD", there is no mechanical LSD. You have to hold the button down for a few seconds to turn it all the way off.

I think that it will come back on automatically whiny drive over a certain speed. 30 MPH maybe, I don't remember for sure. I think that it shuts off when 4 low is engaged also.

Not sure if it's speed or gear but I do believe your right.
