Hello everyone! New to this, and my first post. Read alot on here before posting. I am In the market for a 2016 taco sr 4cy ac 5 speed manual 4x4 with convenience package with options. How do you like it? Reason why I want the 4cyl is mostly money and I won't be doing anything hardcore. Occasionally a deer hopefully :) that way I don't have to wrap the deer in a plastic bag and put him in my passenger seat again.. Talk about freaking people out
Anyways just want so input or your thoughts likes and dislikes. Thanks everyone and have a merry Christmas :)

I love my 2016 SR 4 cylinder 5 speed!! No regrets in buying it all all. I did the Intermittent wiper mod to it, cruise control mod and fog lights! I did write ups on the installs for all 3!! Here is how she sits today on 31" tires! Merry Christmas to you to man. If ya have any questions about the truck let me know!!!!

Read the automotive industry/journal reviews on the 4 cylinder Tacoma before you buy.

There are no fuel savings whatsoever and the motor is anemic for the size/weight of the vehicle.

Sweet looking truck! I actually saw all 3. Awesome step by step how to. I love your truck. I bought a 91 from an older guy so I thought its been taken care of.. I was wrong. Don't want to put to much $ into it because it's a 91 so had to do everything my self timing chain water pump ect and so much more. Now looking back I'm thinking why did I do that.. But now more issues so I just want to sell.
Do you plan on doing anything to your truck at all?

I plan on putting some 17" trd wheels on it eventually and maybe some bilstein 5100s with a small 2 inch lift or so!

So many people are having problems with the V6 it's crazy. Forget that the 2.7 is a proven motor and it's Bulletproof!!!!!

I'm taking that into account also. Just a hard pill to swallow to spend like 6k more for what I want but won't be using the v6 power. That's why I am leaning toward the 4 banger

My 4 cylinder works just fine for me. I'm in no hurry to get anywhere. Unless I win the Illinois Lottery then I'll have a new Tacoma every time the warranty runs out on them.

If money is the main reason for wanting the 4 over the 6 you might want to look at some dealerships. When I bought mine they had the exact same truck in a 4cyl side by side and it was only 1500 dollars diffence everything else was the same.

    Please do!
I'm just waiting for more of a down payment. Is it a bad monthly payment? Or do able? This would be my first new car and somewhat young so I am a little skeptical on paying alot. Not that I'm cheap, its just I never treat myself so its really weird lol

I pay 298/month with no down payment.

Just installed my kicker comp rt 8 today...also added cruise control and waiting to get the variable wiper in. Have fogs and a 30" led bar waiting to be installed as well. Change out all my lights to leds and added the morimoto 6500k hid kit.

    Absolutely love this truck!
