Depends on what you want to spend, really. You could get a block, which is the cheapest/lowest quality, followed closely by a single AAL. For a bump up in price and quality you can get a progressive AAL which I believe is typically three leafs. And if you really want the nice stuff you can get a new leaf pack like OME Dakars. The last two options may give ya quite a bit of lift in the rear so you may want to consider bumping the billies up a notch or getting some new coils. There is also air bags, but I doubt you'd want those unless you tow or haul weight frequently.

That will be well below a grand. If you install it yourself it will probably be under $100. I have an AAL on my truck, it raised the rear about 1.5-2" and I think it rides just fine. Headstrong off-road is awesome to do business with. That's where I got mine. There's also Wheelers and toytec and all kinds of other vendors that you can get AALs from. Depending on where you live you could probably find a local shop who makes or supplies them as well.

If you haven't bought the billies yet I'd recommend you check out this kit...

This is what I have and I am very happy with it...it comes with an AAL. I think for the 2.7 you'd want the 883 coils, also no diff drop and no UCAs. If you email headstrong they are very helpful!

Here is a great post from bjmoose in response to my similar lift question. I think I'm going to go with one of these options he listed. Seems to be the best trouble free option for under a grand.

Yeah man shoot them an email and they will get you all hooked up. Very good people over there! I'm very happy with mine and I've read a lot of positive reviews as well.

    Merry Christmas to you!

With the 2.7 you do not want to go above the 883 coils I'm pretty sure unless you want a lot of lift or have weight up front. For 4.0 liter you would want the 884s for 2".

Again, shoot Marie @HeadStrong Off-Road an email and she will get you all straightened out!

I had mine installed at the dealership...which will not be the cheapest route, lol. They had a sale on tires at that time and they bought my old wheels and tires for $600 though so they ended up being my cheapest option.

Any tire shop or 4x4 place should be able to handle it, no problem. I was charged for 5 hours of labor plus an alignment. That should be about what any shop will charge plus or minus maybe an hour. I'd shop around and see what kind of quotes you get.

Yeah I kinda like stickin with the stealership...even if they are more expensive. I think it's a good idea to keep a solid relationship with them.

It's my understanding that the install is a pretty straightforward process, though. If I had tools and more time I would have done it myself as most others do.

when i order the kit from headstrong, i'm going to have them preassemble the front coil/strut. might save some time and money.

You all got me thinking about going this route. I can't afford to mess with reliability to much, but still have to keep trucks current capacities for lift and tow.

yes this is a big factor for me as well. that set up at headstrong seems to be a good upgrade. i want a mild lift to fit 265/75/16 tires and not look stuffed, no rubbing, or trimming.
