1st Gen Truck Leaning

So I installed a new lift and now the truck is leaning. I installed an Old Man Emu front and back with 881 springs and struts and rear shocks and springs.

Here are my measurements

Front Left 36.5 Front right 37.5
Rear left 37.5 Rear Right 39.0

As you can see my right rear end is way high and my entire left side low..



Thoughts?

 

are the ome rear shocks side specific?

 

That is a good question.. I think they are. I wonder if they installed them incorrectly. I had 4 wheel parts install it.

 

its a good possibility. and on the first gen trucks...im pretty sure they are side specific........my billy 5100's were, and when i first installed them.....my truck sat alot higher on one side. swapped the around, and it was fine.

check the numbers on the shocks and see if that may be the problem.

 

So i double checked I have the N94 on the left and N 85 on the right....hmmm.. what does it all mean?

 

well....the "taco lean" is a bit normal...especially on the first gen trucks, but some of it can be corrected. trim packer for the front driver side will level that out(ome has them...wheelers has them, and i think toytec sells them as well)...as for the rear........to me..it shouldnt lean an inch and a half. you can get a spacer to correct that in the rear, but it may ride a lil stiffer than you'd like.

 

so a quick update on the leaning for those who may be watching or looking for OME stuff in the future...

I called the ARB this am and spoke with a few folks, turns out the part numbers are as follows, part#:xxxA is the driver side, xxxxB is the passenger side. They make the springs different sizes to accomidate for the 'lean' of the extra weight such as driver, battery and fuel. The correct ones need to go on the correct side. 4 wheel parts put them on backwards and that is what was causing the issue. Furhter more, I asked should I have two different type shocks on the truck, ARB said no. Talked to 4 wheel and they built it that way as they have seen it work better... I dont know.. Anyway, going to make my 3rd trip back to get the issue resolved with a swap of the parts. Ugg! Why they could not have done it correctly the first time is beyond me.

so 3rd trip seem to be the charm, much better now. Truck has about 1 inch of higher lift in back than front which is good. Still has about 1/2 inch total lean to left though... oh well i guess full fuel may do that...
