You absolutely should. And if you like the 4x4 on the rear OEM flaps, just get the decals and put them on yourself. Another poster did it, I copy catted him and they look great.

Are the OEM flexible or rigid?

Rigid. Great if your truck is a Pavement Princess, like mine. Not good if you intend to off road.

I got off in a little mud with my Pavement Princess this morning while visiting grave sites of family. Glad I had the OEM's on the truck. Got home and had a little mud on the guards not on the side of the truck. They do as they should, I'm happy with them.

There's nothing wrong with a Pavement Princess.

Nope... I label mine as one quite happily. If I wanted to offroad it, I would have bought an OR.

Agreed. Although I will never do any 'real' off-roading in min '16 TRD Sport, it will see it's fair share of trailheads for backcountry access, fire and jeep roads, etc. And like the ability to have a part of the vehicle separate for things I wouldn't want inside the cab with me (stinky gear, stinky dog, garden supplies, tools, etc. That's why I bought a truck, especially the Sport. It's more than capable to do what I want it to off the asphalt. Personally, I think it's ridiculous to take a $30-$40k truck off-roading, and if I had that kind of money I'd buy an older truck used and build it to specs that would most likely be more capable than a new, off the lot '16, then dump even more money into it ripping off and replacing stuff. And the guys that do this AND use the truck as their daily driver seems even more foolish to me! But hey, it's their money! My guess though is the majority of the people who even buy the OR model and add things to it won't even take theirs off-road many times, if ever. It's just for looks. Maybe occasionally they'll drive through a puddle and get it dirty to make it look like they took it somewhere gnarly.

Universal options also do the job quite well.

There is a slight gap in the front ones on my Tacoma, the back are a better fit. Anyone else notice this?

If you have the OEM, make sure you got the screw at the bottom, I missed it first time when I put mine on.

They come with the 4X4 decal already or did you put that on?

Put them on myself. Ordered them off Ebay. They are meant to be put on top of the 2nd Gen OEM flaps when the white behinds to fade but they work perfectly fine on the new mud guards too.

Ah nice, I tried looking for the old 4WD decal but they are hard to track down... Thanks for the heads up.
