Installed 2" lift - now have a vibration/noise

Needle bearing. Search function on TW is your friend. Lots of info on this site already. Only one real solution...replace needle bearing with a bushing.

 

So you have few options:

1. Reduce your lift which may reduce or eliminate the vibration.
2. Remove the lift.
3. Install a diff drop and see if it's enough to relax the angles to get the vibration to go away.
4. Accept it for what it is. An alignment won't get the vibration to go away, so I'd hold off for a few days until you decide what you're going to do.
5. Bushing.

 

Diff drop is not an option from what we can see because of design. If anyone has insights please share!!

 

Funny how so many guys flamed me for doing a ready lift strut spacer lift. But yet no one who installed one has had any issues including me.

Lots of guys with the bilstein 5100 are having a shit load of issues.

Not getting the full height.
To soft
To hard
Vibrations
Tires rubbing
One side leans
Alignment issues.

What else I can't even remember them all.

 

Why not? I dropped my diff about 1" no issues

 

So I had that fear when I lifted my truck, that my warranty wold be void. Well I have talked to many reliable sources about this. The dealership can not turn down a warranty issue unless they can prove that the lift is the cause of the issue. Which in many cases can be very hard to prove. But keep in mind they won't warranty you after market iteams.

I never had the issue in the first place. Also I'm saying is that you can drop the diff. It's worth it at this point to see if it helps.

 

If I was you I'd do the alignment first. Then see what happens. If you still have it try the diff drop. A one 1" would make your axles basically at a stock angle.

What tires do you have?

 

That's because your putting a load on it.

 

Tires are one size up from stock. 265/70/17.

 

What brand and load rating?

 

Falken ATS. No clue on load rating. (I'm not near my truck)

I've got a diff drop and a carrier bearing drop. All good.

 

diff drop will interfere with skid plate fitment as well as reduce differential lubrication
