Little local poll, in the BS section so not really a poll.

You have a truck that is already lifted 3", it is a crap lift but gets the job done................On to the question. Would you spend money on a nice mid-travel setup or go with dual cases. Costs are similar, work is easier with suspension.

    2004 thingy

I'm really leaning that way because:

    1. I could enjoy the better ride almost every day, quality mid travel will benefit my daily driving also.
    b. 90% of my trail running isn't even close to using a dual case
    3. of the 10% of the trail running that could use a dual case, 90% of the time a very small amount of clutch work will get the job done.
$. It would help out more at the mall...........................Thanks for the expert advise :p

I can think of 2 times in the last year of 4wheeling that I could have used the cases, where is would have been a huge help. One of which was towing a FJcruiser out of the back side of Steel Bender pass.

I'd put the money wherever I'm feeling the most pain. If I hate the ride most often (particularly if it's a DD), go with suspension. If I regularly hate the lack of lower gearing offroad, then dual cases.

Still, not really though. But like you said, because the suspension will change the vehicle for all driving conditions as opposed just a change for 4wheeling, it really makes you lean that way.

What makes you cooler though? It used to be cool to wear flannel and have a beard, now, not so much.

Depends on what you're using the truck primarily for.
DD, then maybe the suspension would be nicer. Trail rig/ sometimes take it out, then dual cases would be bada**.

Edit just noticed I didn't refresh, I'm late

I reached a point where I threw that shit out the door. Don't care about being cool... case-in-point, as I was rockin' my beard and flannel today while out-and-about. I had a moment of paranoia since I didn't think we'd met in person. :spy:

    Auto swap is very expensive...

Because it will only come with a V8 in front of it.

If it's a manual, crawl box over mid travel for sure. That's tied for my favorite mod

If you want a little back ground, I used to crawl a lot in the late 90s. I've run dual cases before on 3 different trucks ranging from 35-40" tires. The dual cases was needed for the trails I was running. Dual cases with big tires and lockers front and rear allowed me to "drag" my truck through some gnarly stuff. I don't want to get back into that kinda of 4wheeling. If the thing can't DD it is no use to me.
