don't guess I did this to it as much as i did this for it. ordered the new H4 12953BWX2 Philips X-treme Ultinon LED Bulbs. I blew the digital ballast on my HID's during a trip and had to rob the ballast from my Fog lights. during the process of buying new ballast I instead decided to go with these. They are said to be just as bright as my HID's but have a better cut off. We shall see.
Also installed the Pop N lock tailgate lock, will uninstall tomorrow and send back for refund as it failed to work correctly and anything that fails on install will not be placed on my truck. I understand everything has lemons off the line, but upon reading these things seem to really be a POS. kind of sad as I was excited to finally secure my bed.

Not to be disagreeable, but... I have run Pop N Lock tailgate locks (electric with door locks) on my last 6 trucks and have yet to have the first problem. Perhaps just luck?

Took my newest Taco out for it's first adventure earlier this week. Took Woody Mountain Road all the way out to a spot nicknamed End of The World. It's just outside of Flagstaff and the area overlooks Sedona. The drive was about 25 miles long from the main highway. The road had not been plowed so it had anywhere of 6-12 inches of snow. The drive was awesome but a bit treacherous. I slid off the road a couple of times and had to be rescued by the rear diff lock! Scared the girlfriend and pup a few times. No cell reception out there, it could've been bad.

Beautiful! But it's always a good idea to have a travel buddy for when things get sucky.

Absolutely, I don't know what I was thinking. Last minute idea I guess. I didn't even have a tow strap on me. Next day however I went to Home Depot and picked up a tow strap and heavy duty D-Rings.

image.jpg Got a BORLA muffler installed today. Sounds nice. Not as deep as I thought it would be, it sounds nice nonetheless. I was told that it'll sound better once it's broken in. So we'll see. Can anyone confirm that?

Should I keep the old muffler?

I would keep the old muffler for awhile in case you get tired of the exhaust drone on long drives. And I have never heard of a muffler having a break in period. Doesn't seem logical to me but I am no expert

Every mod I do I try to make look factory. Check out my build thread. Just removed the harness and drilled a 2" hole and two holes for the bottom two bolts.. Zip tied all the wires back up and called it good

I can't speak for Borla, but the Magnaflow that I installed on my 1999 Camaro as well as the Performance Exhaust that came factory on my 2013 Corvette Grand Sport required about 100 miles before it sounded deep and throaty. Fortunately those 100 miles or so were put on in the first trip on each. I think it has to do with the packing and catalyst in the muffler chamber to 'burn in' more than 'break in'.

I have the Borla, it sounds about the same as it did when I got it, maybe a little better. If we had another gear in our trans, the exhaust would really sound good on the highway.

I put a borla cat back touring system on my truck with only 400 miles on it just about a year ago and love the sound of it even a year later. I gave my factory system away to another member here because I saw no reason to keep it.
