Your good buddy. We all learn from each others experiences. I was just mentioning I didn't have issues with non OEM. But if you did, then you did. No biggie.

Reason i want to relocate it is i had to ditch the fender liner when i trimmed for tires. I don't really like the look of snorkels and don't want to run it to the glove box. If I have to I'd go with a snorkel, but would like to avoid it.

Go for it. Be a pita IMO and not worth it. If you're wanting a snorkel without the actual snorkel do an in cab one.

Use a piece of exhaust tube inside the frame rail. That's what I did for my coolant lines.

Thanks for the info, I haven't looked into what exactly is needed, might be too many bends. I might check length and run a tube to see if I lose any thing before I actually run it.

Wouldn't be smart IMO for intake as it would parallel the actual exhaust..heating up the air big time.

My question is why, I guess... The super deep water swamper guys run to the roof and leave it using pvc drainage tubing usually. The bed is a low pressure, low airflow area where particulate can collect. Just curious what the reason would be for moving it there.

How would it not be worth it?

I'm not sure if I'm following but wouldn't that mean cutting a hole in the frame?

@nagorb you could just make new fender liners using heat formable ABS or fiberglass, its pretty simple to work with either of those.

I have a topper so it would be clean dry air. I'm just thinking about it, I just don't want a snorkel not do I want to run it into the cab. As it is now when it rains it I go offroading I cover the intake with an old air filter and open the deck plate.

Not worth the effort. And like I said. If you run it in under the firewall and inside the frame. The exhaust is right there. Try to go down the wheel well, then you're just gonna rub it with the tires and potentially smash it or get shit in it.

Do an in cab one. Way simpler and works great. Adam and Jon did it.

That's something I've thought about, but would be nice to pull clean air.

Oh he is worried about that??

    Shit.

I haven't have fende liners in freaking years. Tube is plugged with mud. Haha works fine still.

Or just make new liners. Super easy to do with UHMW or abs or rubber.

That's one concern, the check engine lights get annoying.
