I used the Super Mutant, Strong, almost exclusively when I played through my first time. He's a great tank. I equipped him with a super sledge and he took down most enemies with a single hit. I've been using Piper in my second go around. I feel like Strong could hold much more.

I was gonna say are there two?
Picking locks, hacking, and getting in and out of power armor makes him dislike you so I stopped using him. So far I've finished codsworth, Preston, piper, deacon, and curie.

    Preston is gay lmao

Oh yeah I forgot I've temporarily used Preston and Deacon. I want to complete all the companions cuz some give you cool perks. so far the only one that didn't was MacCready

I haven't done hardly anything with a companion. Usually have one with me but don't complete them. Just got to the prydwin about an hour ago and joined the BOS

Hell, if I didn't read threads like this, I wouldn't know about finishing other companions (which I only know is a thing because of this thread)

I've never actually used anyone other than Dogmeat. I get an offer, tell them thanks, make note of the loc for later use if need, and move on.

Dogmeat is forever. I can send him in on a mutant suicider, blow up the camp, wait 90 seconds, and he's still holding 200 pounds of loot, ready to go.

MacCready has a pretty good story to him, and he likes lock picking and stealing. I'm split between him, Valentine, and Hancock right now. Cait is good too but she gets old real fast, her AI seems super clunky to me. Hands down the worst for standing in doorways and not moving.

Stealth build, I use VATS all the time. Ninja and Mr. Sandman, 4x dmg from stealth with a suppressed weapon + bonus dmg for using non-automatic pistol. .308 bolt action pipe is one hit kill a lot of the time. 10mm, specifically the Deliverer the rest of the time, I can get off 13 shots in VATS. Shadowed Light Leather armor, a few with Chameleon and no one sees me. I've killed a guy and the ghouls that ran over to check out his body ran in to me, but never saw me.

It was slow going in the beginning but by the time I hit the 20s it really started to work out. Now at 31, it's a really fun build.

So o finally got the jet pack. It's useful to hurdle over things but other than that it kinda sucks

I'm up to about a 130 armor rating now with my couple pieces of heavy combat armor

I also got the Tessa's Fist for power armor but not sure that it is all that great

And them I got stuck in a dam and can't swim to the ladder because power armor. That jet pack just saved me from a slow painful death. Well I guess I could've loaded up the last save.

I think I'll just use the perk that let's you breathe underwater next time I level up cuz I'm to the point where there aren't too many perks that I really need, except for the sniper perk. The one that reduces sway and allows you to hold your breath longer.
