Take vary warm clothing! Temp now in Pollock is 20...wind is blowing so wind chill is in the teens. Beware if out of your trucks and under the trees. The wind is causing ice chunks to fall from them. Most will be small, but they sting nonetheless. Road will be icy but the views fantastic. Here's what it looks like even now.

Thanx for posting current conditions, Jim.

I was on the fence about going up to MET this morning, but it looks a bit too cold for my taste. :(

Just got home, awesome trip. Temp was mild 40, snow was pretty epic. Made it about 1-2 miles from silver fork rd junction, then it was just too deep. Powder knee to waist deep. If you even thought about going out of the main ruts it was stuck city. Turning around was interesting to say the least. Everyone had some good recoveries/stuck as fuck practice. I'll upload pics and post later.

    Thanks everyone for coming!!!

Sorry if we didn't warn you about turning around! Make a 12- point turn, and stay in the packed track area, instead of a 3 point turn. Turning the group around took a bit of effort. Sounds like you had fun though! It was about mid- calf to knee high last weekend. Did you hit those ice patches?

Snow was pretty damn deep and it was better snow than the last time. It was fun that's for sure. Both trips were fun

Eric, what was the mount that you had for your cellphone?
I believe I found it Ram mount. Which base did you use for the attachment to the oh SH!# handle?

That is a motorcycle handlebar mount http://amzn.com/B005J43I56 + a nylon spacer, a long M6 screw and some heat shrink to make it pretty. I have a spare that is yours if you can wait until the next time I see you.

Thanks to everybody for a really fun day. Wife got to drive for a bit and didn't need to use the defibrillator on me. Daughter got a lesson in practical math - "This time we're going to attach the snatch block to that tree on a longer strap". Great time and the bottom of my truck hasn't been this clean in months.
