From Altoona.. Just picked up an 09 taco. Glad theres a pennsylvania thread. Will probably be bugging y'all when it comes time for mods. But for now 80 hours a week for the winter months to pay for them XD

Anybody! I need help with the lift! @igotalotofrice and I are trying to install my 5100's and the spring is too tight to use the spring compressor and the method in this video: https://m.youtube.com/watch?v=jo0FJSi-KYs

Rent a compressor at the local vato zone. We did 885 to 886 spring swaps and it works, just a little sketchy

 

Not the safest but it works.

 

Ok, I have one, I'll see if I can't take the assembly apart. Also bent my alignment tabs in the process tonight too...

 

Once we get to a certain point the jack lifts the whole truck instead of compressing the spring

 

Ok I'm going to be ordering a hi lift jack but can't decide on the size I wanted to get the 60in but not sure if I'll ever need it to be more the 48in. To the ones that have them How many times did you use them and did you ever need more then 48in. I'm thinking of mounting it to a rear bumper(sometime) but a 60in would need to live in the bed.

Get the 60". You'll want it when you use the jack as a winch or clamp.

 

60in was my first pick I just wasn't sure about the need for it. So looks like I'm going with the 60. That's for everyone's input

 

My 48" is to short now , bought a 60" should be high enough! How high are you lifting it? What's the largest size tire you'll run !

 

I have a 3 in lift now and running 33s but planning on 35s after I get the money for gears/locker
