    Well yeah, if there was a major plot twist, like the fact that his back-story was fabricated to help him go undercover, the writers wouldn't give it away in an interview. To me the above doesn't mean much.

    It is of course just as plausible that he did it to remove any doubts he had about his dedication to the dark-side. This is all just speculation, I just think it would be a cool way for the story to unfold and there is some amount of evidence that supports it.

    Am I the only one who thinks something is off with Poe Dameron? He survives the crash in Jakku but then doesn't go looking for BB8? His reappearance later on is just too convenient. If we're following the original Star Wars theme then you remember Leia was allowed to escape so the republic could track her back to the resistance. Finn's rescue of Poe mirrors that. Was he mind f'ed by Kylo Ren? Could he now be working for the New Order?

    I don't understand how anyone could be the child of a Jedi in this series. It's against their code to be involved in a relationship with someone, that's why i don't believe Luke is Rey's father.

    Well it's been said that Episode VIII will be darker, which I would imagine so as it's directed by Rian Johnson (Looper). I suspect a dark side back story of Ren and/or Snoke.

    Went and watched it on Saturday in Imax 3D here in town. Call me naive, call me whatever, but I enjoyed it thoroughly.

    I'm sure there are a lot of critics out there, and I'm sure there were questions already asked and things discussed here on this thread, but I thought it was great. The only 'issue" I have with it is how they didn't go into detail of what happened between Han and Leia, and their son, to lead to where and what he is now. But my guess is that they'll probably get into that in future episodes.
