Exactly. Making that kind of cash, you can turn a Limited into one heck of an off-road monster. Find an experienced off-road shop around you and make friends. I promise that they'll have plenty of ideas for turning your rig into something even better than a stock TRDOR.

For what it's worth, I have a TRDOR and have used the crawl control. It's pretty cool, but honestly, I don't know how often it will get used. I'm happy just to put it in 4Hi and turn off the traction control. It locks the rear diff and the thing becomes a mud buster. I have no doubt that a good shop can lock your rear diff for you.

Tell me more about how turning off traction control in 4hi (or any setting for that matter) locks the rear diff....

So, I put it in to 4Hi and hold the traction button on the ceiling for about five seconds. The dash indicator light flips to "TRAC OFF" and both rear wheels are locked. I tested it two weeks ago in a dry field and this past weekend in the mud. Worked both times. I looked in the owners manual and didn't see it, but it works on mine.

FWIW, it also works in 2wd. Great for donuts.

will this only work in the OR or will this work also in the Sport? Because if I can lock diff then I am good to go and don't care about crawl control.

Is the red diff lock icon on? Don't think your diff is actually locked ;)

With minimal traction situations an open diff will still spin both wheels. Try taking some tight turns on dry pavement. Tires chirp? Don't do this when rear diff is actually locked.....

I've been wheeling with a locked diff Jeep for many years so I'm not a newb to lockers. Using this procedure, the Taco locks. Maybe it's a hack or mine is broken; I don't know. But I do know that it's locked.

And no, I didn't test it on pavement because I want the rear diff to last, but I did test it last week in a dry field and it exhibited all of the signs of a locked rear.

Why waste money when you already still owe a crap ton to purchase something you will not use because it seems "cool"? Are you an adult or a 17 year old high school kid that thinks your car/truck impresses people? Keep what you have as it has more of what you want... Never understood some of these impulse ridiculous poor financial decisions just to look a certain way or impress someone a few seconds as you drive by. Buy what works, what you need and use.

What did you go to school for? Guessing some type of medical degree?

Is a salary of $400K a lot money (of course it is but the OP's feeling depends on the debt load)?
    35% Federal, 6% State, 6% SS and 3% Medicaid = 50% in taxes
True take home income is $200K/year or $17K/month:
Given $17,000 per month, the OP has to pay around $2500 (student loan for 20 years), $7500 (mortgage for a typical OB/GYN, property tax, home insurance), $1000 (OB/GYN malpractice insurance), $1000 (general credit card debt), $1500 (car payments, auto insurance), $2000 (food/gas/entertainments/clothes). After these expenses, there is only $500 left but non of it is going toward 401K or spouse improvement plan, 529 education plan or investments. I am not sure but maybe these are the reason why the OP feels so so. So swapping the current truck for additional $100/month is a cheap therapy and understanable. Go for it!

I don't think the Sport comes with a locking rear diff, so it probably won't work. Heck, some of the posters here don't think it works on my Off-Road, but the proof is in the skid marks.
