    I don't think I was in 4 low. Usually I'm fine with high just going down the trail and only use low when climbing things.

    You should use low so you use the brakes less going downhill. If it is any sort of a decent trail I am always in low just so I don't get caught off guard.

    I know they are covers too. Just that Amber does not help in low visibility situations when installed that high up on the truck.

    Hell my amber lights in my grill are a tad too high to be effective in snow or fog.
