@Dangerousd1987 @ODNAREM Check a few weather reports for the area, when I checked yesterday Cleghorn was supposed to be snowed in today and it's not far from where you two are going if I remember correctly

Thanks Danny!I'm also Prerunner/2wd and have had to work my way out of some area's in Idywild and Main Divide recently without having to be helped out when some of TW members did the trips.Don't have a rear locker either but eventually would like to add it to my truck.

Strange. Its cold as shit up there but even at 8000 feet i didnt see a reason for chains. I was actually laughing at the people that where using them. The roads where dry.

Hey guys. I'm the local for Big Bear. So here's the deal; Danny is right in that these trails are super easy on dirt, but on snow they can be very difficult. most of the gates do get closed off and the ones that don't are generally more difficult and have steep uphills. The only one I would recommend to anyone also is in the shade most of the day so the snow quickly turns to ice that even 4x4's struggle with. That combined with the snow fall it looks like we will be getting later today means there really isn't anything for you guys up here right now. Sorry guys :/

Tires were fine for the Flagstaff,AZ.trip.No i have not replaced the rear tire or tires yet.Didn't even swap out and use my full size spare for the passenger side rear. Some of the trails i did in Flagstaff all was good with the snow and ice although there was one area/point on the "Elden Mountain" trail that from the ice i thought trouble may occur so i was able to turn around and call it a day.It was starting to get dark out and colder temperature so i made a wise decision and was by myself as well.

I'll probably make a quick post later. T4R is still my main hub, but always good to network though. Now you guys know who to contact if you head up to Big Bear at all
