I dont run a front plate either, my car is technically not street legal (catless race headers/3 inch exhaust + methanol alcohol injection) but it passes emissions from the flashpro settings on the tuner lol. My truck has tint that is too dark and no front plate but I want to tint the windshield to benefit from UV protection of the interior

We have union represenration and my work and they are actually respectable. The particular ones for the garbage companies in our area are horrible fron the stories my family tell me. I guess with anything there is the good and bad.

Hopefully they make you whole quickly.

some and more and more and more and
That kind of goes along in the same area as people putting seat covers on their new 2016 seats, when there is an airbag supposedly in the back of the seat now for rear passengers in double cabs. And the seat covers won't allow your bags to go off

Ya Ya to each their own here i guess, but whether its 10% or 70%, your visibility is still being affected. Not nearly as much, but it just might be enough to make you miss that post on the corner at night... im not "scared" i just think the benefits of tinting a windshield is dismal compared to the trouble it could cause- legal or otherwise. It's way worse and cant be compared to not having a front plate

Yeah, affected for the better. I'll never ever miss the road curving because of my tint. I don't think you've ever seen 70% tint. Of the 100+ passengers to sit in my cars, no one has ever noticed on their own. No one. I have a lot of friends in law enforcement as well, and probably pulled over 12 times in 10 years for one reason or another (never tint though). Still, no one notices but me. I even ran it on my NASA/SCCA track car as well which is totally "illegal" in both operations, yet I passed dozens of safety inspections. It helps reduce glare, heat, skin damage, etc better than any other window due to its angle. My almost-transparent windshield tint has made driving much more comfortable. No trouble ever caused. Would apply again.

Where did you have yours tinted? And what brand/series of film?

Well made argument in favor of tint, let's just leave it at that.

I've been an auto claim adjustor for 10 years. I have worked claims in MD, VA, DC, DE, WV, CO, UT, and on rare occasions in most of the other States. Not once have I ever denied liability in a claim because someone had their windshield tinted. And it may be your opinion that we sometimes deny claims for "shitty" reasons but I can explain the decision process logically in every claim I've ever handled. And given an average of 5 new auto claims per day worked, that would come out to about 12,000 claims, not a small sample size.

Mine has 5100 on all four corners. fronts set at .85, with 1.5" AAL's and shims. Love the ride quality. When i compare the ride to the OME kit i had on my 13' it doesnt even compare.

Has anybody modified the front bumper? Mine has a license plate frame (which I hate). Is the only way to be without it, getting an after market bumper?

Thanks, I might just have to go that route. I have a tight space in the garage and it would be nice to knock off a couple more inches!

Did you get a noticeable visual range difference? My wife tells me she is having more trouble seeing at night. Also, is this the "right" way to do the upgrade? I read about people upgrading lights the wrong way and blinding people... I don't want to overdo it. Thanks for the help.
