@smugly : I'm also wondering how exactly you did that to your wheels. I was planning on swapping out the steelies for aftermarket alloys, but if I can make them look like that... no way I'm changing!

Do you have a lift and what size tires? Thanks!

No, you're not trolling. The tires were actually on the rims when I did it.I taped off the tires very carefully and denatured alcohol the whole rim and this is the paint that I used. And of course, I did paint the center caps and the rims separate from one another

Thanks! Ya I'd be pissed! How'd you get the dimples that cover the holes made?

There is no lift as of now and the tires are Mastercraft cursor CTs In LT265/75r16. Obviously, I had bought those originally just for winter use but now I'm questioning whether I actually want to put the original ones back on

Are you talking about the holes made by the license plate bracket in the bumper?

I took the back of the handle of the Phillips screwdriver and slowly pushed in on the dimples to push the volcano back in the best I could, but now my body shop guy says he's looking for a new piece for me and would replace it for me . Its nice having neighbors that own body shops

I ended up, only payed $100 for the rims and caps. I did end up sending the same pics to the fella on here that sold me the rims, somehow I think he was having sellers remorse after seeing them because he had basically put the aftermarket version of those rims on his truck

Don't get me wrong, I'm not tooting my own horn. They actually came out a lot nicer looking than even I had expected them to. So it was a win-win for me

I got it off Amazon in 2012 when I had a Prius C. It fits like a glove aND the fob is exactly the sAmerican as the 2016 tacoma.

This one says Prius on the back ha! But if you google fob covers or fob jackets there should be other styles....just need to look at the button cutouts to make sure they are in the same location if you look for something with hole cutouts.

Over the past 5 days, I 'finished' the paint.
    -washed with Meguiars Gold Class
-prepped with Eagle One mitt and detailer
-removed TRD decal(the paint was heavily etched underneath the driver's side and required several applications of the below)
-minor spot paint correction with Meguiars Ultimate Compound
    -masked off all trim
-sealed with Toyota Lusterizing Sealant and left for 24 hours
-waxed with Meguiars Ultimate Liquid Wax, removed making tape, and left for 24 hours
-waxed with Meguiars Ultimate Spray Wax

Built a wheel chalk/tie down bar for dirt bikes using the stock 5 mounting screw holes so that I didn't have to drill any holes. 20151228_141542.jpg

You know, I was going to try Black Diamond products this time around.
But, I realized, if it wasn't broke, why fix it.
The Eagle One prep mitt was new this time. I highly recommend it in place of clay.
