I might use Toyota care to wipe my ass but that's about it. Changing the oil myself!

It's too early to switch to synthetic, your engine is still brand new give it another 10k to get everything nice and seated. I've run mobile1 synthetic in all my previous cars, its good oil, castrol is good too.
My old 4runner had 310k when I sold it, when I bought it from my mom it had 260k and ran pennzoil for most of it's life no issues.

More and more car manufacturers are putting synthetic motor oil in, from the day it's built. They also require you to use it, it's really added protection for today's motors. Forget about breakin oil, synthetic motor oil should be used all the time, it's cheap engine insurance!

No sir! Your truck has synthetic in it from the factory. Running conventional oil for break in is old school !!!

I run Motul in my jetta, and I know my cousin runs the same in his FJ and one of my friends has a 2013 taco and runs motul as well.

Personally I love Motul oil. never been disappointed with it.
but sometimes can be hard to find and be slightly expensive. but great stuff. worth the extra $10-$20 you'll pay

50 years ago it was STP. You don't need any additional additives to synthetic motor oil! I guess old habits die hard. If it was that important the car manufacturer would require you to use it to protect their motors from burning up.

Your truck is born with synthetic, never put anything but synthetic in it.

You know all turbocharged engines, they require 5w-30 synthetic motor oil. That's what I use in my cars, instead of 0w-20 weight synthetic motor oil.

Do you get the first 5 oil changes for free?? our dealership does that for all their customers who buy new Toyotas from them. Curious as to what they will put in.
