So I guess just leaving a note works? I might do that if I see a badass Tacoma.

Looks nice, had to google half of the things you listed, but I'm still confused.
What's a smoked passive demon eye and what's special about a trd pro housing? Is it tinted/smoked like the SR?

About $1,200 shipped to Hawaii. All new parts for the build. The TRD Pro housing cost more than the standard ones but if you're painting them they may end up costing the same.

A passive demon eye is basically tinting the projector, an active demon eye will add an LED that will cause the projector to glow. The TRD Pro has black chrome where the original chrome is in the housing is so it's darker except for the reflector part. You can't really tell as it's subtle but put it next to a regular one and it's a big difference.

Maybe this next year I can buy something like this. Else I'd just be happy with the BHLM.

I wanted better lighting so I went with the retrofits, if you're gonna crack those housings you might as well do the kit even if you go the mini route.

Oh, ok. So yours is smoke tinted? All the others I saw were red demon. And yeah, found out trd pro and the SR is the same with the smoked chrome look. Damn, that's a lot for headlights, but at least you got new oem housings. Doesn't the smoke affect output of the projector? Is it just a thing for looks, when you look at it with the lights off?

Yes I wanted it as close to an OEM look so I just went passive. Also did the smoked reflectors so everything is just a subtle approach. It doesn't affect the light output as you might think cause I originally did. It's just for looks when the lights are off. Really can only tell at certain angles though.

I get it now. So people see the color through the projector when its turned off, right? On my old ones you could see the cutoff gate and the spring.
