Ok, got it, I was using the display settings in Map and did not go to general settings. Got it.

Now if could just have/wait/ or forget the other items on my list, I would consider it worth the money. Lucky I did not have to pay the extra as it was the only 4x4 on the lot and had been there for a loooong time. I live in Prius Tesla land

 

Does this apply to 2015?
What type of format is your USB?

I tried on my new 2015 but it doesn't seem to work. The "Update Software" is grayed out. I tried a few different formats like: NTSF, exFAT, FAT32 and formatted the USB (Kingston DT101 G2) on 2 different PCs, no luck.

 

I used standard usb right out of the package.

• Downloaded the file: 01032-HBEKR-15A.ZIP (274,720 kb) to my pc.

• Uncompressed it and had file : swdl.iso (312,104 kb)

• Copied the iso file to my blank usb drive

• started truck
• Radio Off
• Inserted thumb drive with the iso file only on the drive into the truck USB port.

Took about 60 seconds and started the installation process of 8 applications.

When completed, remove drive, started the radio unit, and it completed the installation.

 

it seems like a big bluetooth voice update and reviews are showing the voice recognition is better and much faster. The destination search seems to be the biggest change getting rid of bing. I haven't had a lot of opportunity to play with it much but when I checked the local stores the search showed a lot more that I couldn't recognize previously with bing. Also it seems that you can use the mic button on the destination search easier than the navigate voice button on the steering wheel that was used previously. The voice through bing was already fasted than the nav button but it seems like better POI's than previously. There is an iHeart radio update and the addition of slacker radio. I havent used iHeart very much or slacker at all but recently using slacker I like it. It's different than Pandora and just adds options which is nice.

 

I have a problem with my navigation system but I'm not sure how to describe it. The navigation beeps and locks onto an address over and over while I'm driving. I'm not even navigating anywhere. It just started today and it's pissing me off. Anyone else have the same issue?

must be, I get it occasionally. just have to go back and delete previous set destinations

 

The thing is that I haven't set any previous destinations.

 

So I took a leap and installed iOS 9.1 on my daily phone, but so far so good on my iPhone 6 with Entune Premium. Everything seems to work like it did before with 8.4.1.

 

Ive had the Ios9 beta for a while now, and although I only got my truck friday, Ive had no problems with anything so far

 

Glare issue in my 2015 has been driving me nuts and thinking about mods.

Phone upgrade time finally came and I went for the 64GB iPhone 6s. Downloaded BookMower and Overdrive for audiobooks. Put 40GB of music from iTunes on my computer.
Now I finally have music and books that work like they're supposed to through Bluetooth to Entune. The old iPod is gonna be retired to the garage, I guess.

 

I'm looking to get a wifi mirror box that will work with android or apple and I find a lot for around $50 on Amazon. The crux setup that says it works with entune is around $300. A lot of the mirror boxes use RCA cables. I have seen harnesses that have RCA hookups on a wire harness that connects the mirror box to many radios. Has anybody done this? Does anybody know of a wifi mirror box that isn't $300?

 

Well today I got in a heated debate with Toyota customer service after they didn't know anything about the entune system and said my problem was that I didn't purchase the $300 navigation disc update.

My question was simply that the addresses are off nearly 50% of the time and in Jersey a little off is a long detour. My question was that since the 2014 entune was more modified and the 2016 entune has the Scout GPS app, will there be any further updates for the previous entune trucks. She told me that my head unit will not change ha ha, yep she said that like I was expecting them to mail me a new unit. She said the Scout GPS was only going to be in the 2016 and my issue was due to me not updating my nav disc. I asked if there would be any further 2012 entune updates and she proceeded to tell me to update me disc for whatever my dealer charges ($300). She seemed to not realize that we once had this terrible search tool called bing which has been updated to destination search but even with that when I search for something through destination search that uses my phone data connection and it still fails to show me the closest location I requested some times. But no matter what, it is the nav disc I need to update and the dealer who I need to call but she could transfer me. Any updated apps we can expect? Only the nav update and contact my dealer.

I'll install it and give a full report for the taco since I couldn't find one. Even with entune updates I should still be able to use the current entune while in motion, stream everything from my phone like waze and Google maps, and even stream movies for the same price as that damn map upgrade.

I hope it was worth it.

where can i get update 3.2? I dont know what happen with mky entune radio, I have a 2014 tacoma and the bluetooth doesnt work anymore. I cannot click the bluetooth icon on the stereo, like if my truck is moving. I cant connect my phone aswell.

Are there updates available for the 2014 Entune Plus? I don't have the Pandora, Slacker Radio, etc app just the HD weather and traffic (which never connect). Everything else seems to work fine.

My current software # appears to be 010171.
