They don't. But I'm sure he did the same thing I did... buy the decals and apply them to the mud guards.

Might be they fed you a line. I know Cuyahoga county is more rural... But Ohio is still a two plate state. It's often a battle to keep the dealers from tacking on the front plate. Cops still stop people for it and a few write tickets for it. Dealer might have been trying to avoid the "I got a ticket because you didn't put a front plate mount on my truck" BS. I worked an area near the Ky border for 5 years. People would give me the "this car didn't come with a front plate bracket" line when I stopped them. $102 fine which is waved if they come in with the plate mounted.

Too bad too... Since you clearly had a solid option for mounting the front plate figured out.

Mine has those dimples and never had a bracket installed on the front. I was there when they took it off the truck and it never got mounted. I figured its from the factory mold.

In the end, you're probably right about that. So far I've never been bothered and Iv'e had them mounted that way since 05

Oh sorry maybe I misunderstood, I thought you were just talking about the dimples, yours look more pronounced in the photo. Wasn't sure if it was just the color or angle though. Now I see what your saying.

How do those tires ride compared to the stock tires? The old style bfg's felt really firm on Dakota.

Your mount on the bottom is 100% legal as far as I see it. It's where they should mount them in the first place.

Texas is a two plate state, and you can't pass annual inspection without it. You can't renew your registration without an inspection, so they get you for driving an unregistered vehicle. If you put the plate on for the inspection and then take it off, you're guilty of an illegal vehicle modification. TX don't play.

I don't see many Texans running no front plate. Maybe two or three a year.

I went to high school and college in Ohio, and back in the 1980s ODOT didn't play either.

CA is a two plate state and if you get the car before the plate is mounted you have full rights to opt out of the install, but you do have to sign a waiver form that the dealer did provide you the mounting hardware. 9 out of 10 times plate hardware is already mounted on the vehicle before it hits the lot.

The only car I had the option was a sports car, all my other new cars have always had the install before I looked at them. Maybe sports cars are special.

Firm, but not harsh. I prefer it to stock.
Anytime you add unsprung weight like that, it affects the suspension.
It will vary with frequency/speed and road surface.
The stock suspension is keeping up, but just barely. I plan on a midtravel setup, so I'm hoping it will mange better, or at least, extend longevity.
I would definitely buy again, but I would also prefer a load C version in this size.
