Is there a list of aftermarket wheels that fit (or don't fit) 2004's?

I'm in the market for some new wheels and it's my understanding the brake calipers are different (larger) for 2004 causing some fitment issues.

    Thanks!

I don't think there's caliper clearance issues as long as you don't get something with super low backspacing. Most of the time the fitment concern has to do with the tundra brake upgrade.

Anything with 4" backspacing or near it (within a half inch or less) should be fine. Stock backspacing is 4.5". I have 4" BS. Lowest BS I've seen on a Tacoma is 3.75 I think. Less than that and you'll need wheel spacers (not recommended)

Did you mean to say 4.75" BS instead of 3.75"? Lower the number the more clearance youve got... i run 3.50"BS on one of my tacos.

I think if you have less backspacing you start losing room for calipers and whatnot (hence "back space"). I couldn't remember what the lowest amount on a Taco was. But yours sounds pretty low!

Of course offset also plays a factor, but most of the time the proper backspacing is the main thing to reference.

Lower the number the more the wheel sticks out/wider stance.

Higher the number the wheel is sucked into the fender well more/narrower stance.

this is also correct. however, with lower backspacing, you lose room to fit stuff behind it, depending on the offset. I was trying to keep OP in a range that wouldn't make it overly complicated, so I'd stick with something between 3.5-4.5 BS.

I'm looking at a set of MB razors 16x8 with a -6mm offset. Will these clear the calipers? If so, how much will they stick out compared to stock? Thanks

You need to know the backspacing to determine if they'll fit.
