Did it yesterday! I did it for looks, but the light output is just OK. No HUGE lighting difference between before and after. Just now the ground in front of me is more lit up. I used Silvania Bulb 4157.

    Overall, love it.
This is just the pic I had , I can take one with headlights off tomorrow if you want.

Not gona be using switchbacks as brightest ones I found were only 600 lumen.

I wanted to see the beam created by doing the foglight mod to see if its even functional and worthwhile to buy a high lumen bulb.

The only other problem is will the turn signal housings hold up to a high wattage bulb. Unless the bulb didn't create much heat.

I did this on my first Tacoma and it had scorch marks from the bulbs being run for so long. I wouldn't recommend doing it again IMO unless you do LED or something.

This. Leds radiate less heat but they do get real hot at the base. For high power leds a heat sink is needed to stop them from over heating.

here's some more output samples while my truck was running and against a white wall. first pic is the headlights on as DRLs. second pic is with the switch turned forward once. turning on the fogs but not fully powering the headlights. third is everything turned on. in the third, the headlights become so bright that the fogs look darker than the second pic. not true, they stayed just as bright.

But i love spending money on things i dont need! Plus i wana tinker with it and see if i cant get something functional. I know alot of people do it just for the looks but here in nl the fog can get rediculous and they help.

I suppose. But some aux lights work well for that. And they're designed for it :D

Here is an idea. I did these for a friend. These are used for headlights for some people

Wont fit 95-97 signals. That was my original plan.
