Thanks Sam B. I pulled mine and it said H16 on the bulb. The H16 is not as long as the H11, so I didn't want to order the H11 LED replacement and it didn't fit.

Just installed these Philips H11's (they fit H8 and H16 housings as well, yes the plug is the same also) into my dad's 2014 projector equipped Accord yesterday. I see no problems here.

You will once you get on the road. The light spreads instead of projects.

Thanks Sam B for your tips and pics. I finished installing the VLeds LMZ fog lights and TRS HID lowbeam last weekends. Everything seems in working orders, no problems yet :fingerscrossed:. Should have bought the 55W though.

i ordered these and received them yesterday and when i went to swap the old ones out, the new ones would not light up. i found out that the positive and negative wires on the bulb harness where swapped and would only light up if i held the wires in place with the truck harness. i assume thaat your install didnt come down to this.

Same problem here but with an HID kit, i took off a green piece of plastic in the trucks harness and just fliped the plug and plugged it in, so basically it won't clip in but mines fit really snug, so I'm not worried of it coming loose. Sorry if this didn't make any sense I could snap a pic for you tomorrow.

I guess he'll be the best judge of it. I have yet to receive word of him on how he likes it because he doesn't drive much at night.

Hey guys, I read through the thread and I think I know what I want to do, but I wanted to get your input. I live in a rural area with no street light at all, super dark, lots of wildlife. The stock lights are ok, but I want more. So... if I get the $300 kit from TheRetrofitSource, that will give me HIDs (probably 55w) for my low beams and LED projectors for my fog lights, correct? Will the output and spread of the fogs be as good or better as the stock setup? I need to flood the sides of the road for deer.

Lastly, I'd like brighter high beams as well. I see that LEDs are an option, but are HIDs an option as well? Once again, light output and spread are king for me. Would this be something I could get from TheRetrofitSouce as well?

    Thanks!

I wouldn't do HID's in high beam. First they take a little bit to get fired up all the way, second if you are always turning them on and off, life expectancy diminishes greatly. Either use LED or Sylvania ultra's. Could also go with PIAA H-11's.

Hmm, good to know, then I think I'll go with LEDs. Are you recommending VLED for that as well? I don't see H9 LMZ listed on their site.

Yea, VLED's are top of the line. Geothermal H-11. H-9, H-11, H-16 all interchangeable. When installing VLED, run the collar all the way to the base (fan) then adjust out slightly to fit. You want the LED's side to side when they are installed. The line on the end cap should be vertical.

Just got a call from my dad. He finally drove his projector equipped Accord tonight. He told me, and I quote, "I just wanted to report to you that these new headlights are AWESOME they look great. They remind me of Xenon headlights, they have a nice sharp cutoff to them unlike the old ones."

He mentioned he was weary of them at first because he thought eh, they are aftermarket, but they definitely let him see the road real nice now. I just gave them to him as more of a safety item than anything but I am glad to hear he is enjoying them. Just figured I'd reply back to the thread.

    If he's happy I'm happy. :)

looks like I'll be upgrading my headlights. A big buck hit me last weekend and we both lost. Driver side headlight is toast as well as the bumper, fender and maybe door. i had just put new bulbs in fogs and headlights a week ago and was really enjoying the extra light.

I'm going to try to work a deal for projectors with the body shop. What should i be looking for? i dont have time to do too much homework and from reading the posts on this thread it sounds like you guys are all over it.

Is this a Gen 3? I have not seen any 3rd party projectors out yet for it. Probably need OEM's and then use Morimoto 55w HID's in the low beam. Add a cow catcher to the front end to move those deer out of the way!

Sam, Are all H9 H11 H16 interchangeable or just the VLEDS?
