See link above. Its a satellite radio adhesive swivel mount thats fairly low profile. Clips right onto the UG bracket. You can find them on eBay pretty cheap. HERE is an example from eBay. And HERE is was NOT to get... it looks similar but its quite bulky.

 

Added a few things to the build. CVT Mt. Shasta, some better lighting, abs pending install of a homelink. More to come

 

Hey Anthony very nice setup man I was looking at where you are putting your spare tire I am trying to find a place for mine other than in the bed or hanging off the back but it looks like that is the only options.

 

I wanted to keep mine underneath but i lost the tool kit with the pole that's why i leave it in the bed strapped down. But i hate it in there! I'm most likely selling my bumper and buying a full tire gate for it. But if i wasn't going to do that is find a way to shove it back underneath. I'm not to worried about the clearance loss

 

Yeah, I was actually thinking of setting it down inside the bed using the existing space for the spare but cutting a hole in the bed and welding brakets in the place of the spare tire location but make it fit deep enough so that the tire would not sit up over the inside of the bed, so it would be flush with the floor of the bed, then put the piece you cut back over the tire and your mat then your good to go. I don't know if it can be done but I have been looking into it. Keep up the great work nice rig man.

Hey, how did you connect your OEM backup camera to your headunit? And how were you able to change the colors on the shifter and the steering wheel?

 

Three years into this thread and subd. Glad to see it takes time for some people to get their rides looking like yours. What a beauty

 

I tapped the video wires in the A pillar and connected an RCA to them. The steering wheel uses the same LEDs as the dash and so new LEDs can just be soldered on the board. The shifter I took the little orange bulb out and installed a blue 6" led strip underneath it.

Do you happen to have a picture of what wire you tapped into and with what?

 

Ooo thats a tough one. I did this mod almost 7 years ago when i bought it and havent touched that since. Its all shrinked wrapped and taped up so even if i pull the panel i wont be able to get a clear shot. Sorry

 

Not a problem I understand. I've just been trying to find a way that won't make me lose video quality. And all the mods you have done look top notch.

 

Swapped out the Lexus projectors for some PIAA LED driving lights. wow! These things are literally brighter than my headlights and i have 5000k projectors from the Retrofit Source. Not bashing my headlights because they are great, but these led driving lights are pretty insane. It's like driving with small a lightbar on but without blinding people. And they are dot approved

 

Were these just the bulbs or the housings and all?

I wasn't sure just cause his doesn't have the whole assembly part in the front of the light, so I was curious.

 

Yeah i just left off the piaa cover all it does is limit light output so their brand is visible. But its the whole assembly
