Ford Fusion Fog Light Retrofit DIY

I just completed the install of ford fusion fog lights on my taco. Thanks to boltstaco for the idea ( https://www.tacomaworld.com/threads/fog-light-retrofit-done.319008/ ).
Here is my install...

Parts Needed:
1) Pair of 06-12 ford fusion projector fog lights. They are used on many ford products. Mine had part number 9E53-15K200-AA or 6E5Z15200A . Got a pair of new old stock on ebay for $40.

2) Pair of PVC 4" to 2" reducers from hardware store.
3) 9006 to H11 wire adapter

4) Black satin paint. I used Krylon Color Master Satin black paint for the diy shroud. It looks really close to the black plastic area of the grille.



DIY Steps:

1) Trim the mounting brackets of the Ford Fusion fog lights. The ford bracket needs to be trimmed in order to fit the Tacoma fog light area. The idea is to use the OEM Ford bracket for alignment and mount of the fog lights.









2) Trim the PVC reducer to fit the fog light holes on the Tacoma. I also expanded the center hole in order to give the fog light a recessed look.







3) This is how they fit together.







4) Sanded and painted the pvc reducer.







5) Glued together with high temp rtv silicone. They do get HOT!


6) Light pattern alignment. The ford fog lights use a torx T15 bolt for alignment. I used zip ties to mount them to the bumper.




7) Final results and comparison.

No...those aren't anything like what the OP used...

 

Updated the original post. I believe mine had part number 6E53-15K200-AA but also saw part number 6E5Z15200A

They are used on the fusion and other ford products 06-12.

Does this work on 12 to 15 tacos?

 

Not sure if possible and could take some more fabrication. I think the 12-15 taco fog light cutout is way too small to fit the ford fog light assembly. The 05-11 cutout is about 4" - 4.5" and the ford fog light fit snugly after trim out.

Nice job man, @boltstaco actually helped me when I made mine a few months back. I went with the shrouds and it came out nice. Probably will try to sell them in a few weeks as I bought a plate bumper and won't be able to use them once I get it.

Did you do what I did and dremel off the upper shield of projector? For anyone doing this in future doing that will let even more light out of those suckers. Just a thought

So are these sealed? Would a clear cover lens be better to be used to prevent the glass from chipping/cracking?

 

Exactly what I said. I wonder is the GM Trailblazer SS (I used to own one) fogs would work. It's much smaller and similar design.
