Here are the messages between myself and Low Range. First they admit fault, then backpedal.

    ME:
Hi. I have a question about some 4340 axles I purchased last week. Specifically, the bearings to be used in my 2002 tacoma, prerunner with non abs and non abs housing. I spoke with Parker on the
phone and initially he directed me towards the "79-95" wheel bearing set and bearing pocket. I asked him to double check and was put on hold while he talked to a tech. When he returned, he said he was wrong and told me I needed the "01-04" Tacoma ultimate rear wheel bearing kit but they were out of stock. So I found some at a local auto parts store. After further reading, I am wondering if I purchased the right bearing kit. The truck is having the axles put in, in the morning and I need some clarification before toyota tears it apart. My truck is a "2002" Tacoma, 2.7l, doublecab, prerunner with the TRD package. Thank you Richard Norman 812-821-1506. Anytime.
    Mon 12:19pm
Nevermind. Toyota just called and says 2001-2004 bearings that "Parker" recomended, do not fit. So that's $158 i'm out of pocket.

    LOW RANGE:
Hello Richard, I have spoke to Parker and looked over the info. He told you what we know to be truth at this moment.. If it does not work, this would be new info to us and we would like to get it figured out with you. I guess my question is, how would "Toyota" know anything about what you are doing with "aftermarket" parts and what will or will not fit? Has the guy you have been talking to done this before?

    ME:
They just put it together and called me. Not 10 mins ago. They said the bearings were to short? and would not fit. So I told them to just go ahead an order a tacoma axle to get me on the road so I can travel to michigan for my late Xmas.
When I spoke with Parker via email and telephone. I asked him specifically "which bearings do I need to work with my NON abs housing". He suggested the 79-95 bearings and bearing pocket case. I tripple checked with him again because it was rare to see a 99+ with a non abs axle shaft housing. He put me on hold, double checked and said... "No, you can just use the "01-04 tacoma bearing kit.
You didnt have any in stock so I purchased one locally. It doesnt fit.
I dont know what else to say or explain? And now toyota has my truck torn apart and says the bearings wont work.
btw. PArker was very nice and I have zero problems with him. Great guy to work with over the phone. Just gave me the wrong info.
    waiting.......

    LOW RANGE:
Like I said, according to the info we have and currently know.....he gave you the right info. I guess now we know that it is not always that way and we will look into it avoid issues in the future. I also didn't get it the first time that "Toyota" was actually working on it....so I'm sorry for the confusion there.

    ME:
So, you never sold this 4340 axle to a 2001-2004 non abs housing toyota tacoma with the proper bearing kit. I am asking..... WHICH bearing kit do I use to get these axles to fit my "2002 tacoma, doublecab, pre runner. Which you advertise as "tacoma" axles on your website. It clearly says "if you are goinf to use these axles with non abs housings, you must use "79-95" toyota minitruck bearings and axle bearing pocket case. Parker clearly told me this was not the bearings I needed after putting me on hold and checking with the tech crew. So now the question is. Will these axles, that you advertise work with my tacoma and which bearing kit do I need? Since Toyota of Easley,sc (864) 859-3833
Says the bearings that "Parker" recomended do not fit. What is the solution>
All i''m trying to find out is if the product that you advertise, for the year that I have will fit my truck with.....which bearings? Or do they fit at all? For all I know Toyota doesnt want to install aftermarket axles and bearings. I dont know that. MAybe they are saying the shit doesnt fit because they would rather me buy toyota shafts?
    Mon 4:18pm

    LOW RANGE:
I think that Parker was right in the first place. You need the "79-95" wheel bearing set and bearing pockets.
To further the confusion, Trail-Gear does not state anything about the Bearing pockets on their listing on their site, just the bearings from the older axle. (https://www.trail-gear.com/TG/Longf...ts/i_0_0_3521/_141042-1-KIT.aspx#.VoGkaxUrKUl)
So, I would guess we have had customers with issues in the past and thats why we put that extra note on the website. Could have been anytime in the last 4+ years. My question then is if the Brake Backing Plate will work or not with the Factory Tacoma Parts. I would hope so but want to make sure there are no further issues you run into.
My main Tech guy is out till tomorrow.....and he may be able to help more. Chat Conversation End

And here is the ad for the "Tacoma" axles. http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/yota...a-axle-shafts-by-trail-gear-141042-1-kit.html
Even though it says I need 79-95 bearings, the tech said to use these http://www.lowrangeoffroad.com/yota...imate-rear-wheel-bearing-kit-without-abs.html

Here is Trail gears website and the recomend the 79-95 axle bearings as well.
So, i'm supposed to evidently use 79-95 minitruck bearings and pocket on a "2002 tacoma?? Yet Low range told me to get 2001-2004 bearings.

I guess I will call Trail gear today. Thats where the axles originated from.

Meanwhile, the truck is in the shop getting factory bearings on both sides and a new toyota axle on the driver rear. If I can verify that the correct bearings to use are the 79-95 and bearing pocket, then I'll order them and see if SEO can get em in.

yea its not to bad to do them sense all you have to do is press the bearings on now pressing the bearings off is a pain in the ass

I am sure someone in here has had the moldy crud or whatever grows on our trucks rubber trim especially on the back window. While detailing my truck last weekend I was on a mission to finally tackle it. Before I tried household cleaners or harsh stuff like bleach I wanted to see if something a little more paint friendly would work.
I used this 303 product on my tonneau for cleaning so I tried it.
Just sprayed it on and scrubbed with a tough scrubber (like a general one you would scrub the bathrooms with)
Worked pretty well. My trim was pretty bad and I didn't take before pics but here are a few after.
I ended up doing all the window trim too.
Just thought I would pass this along if some of you wanna give it a try. After cleaning I put some 303 protectant on it.
