Nice, so it was worth it :) ?

WI is good. Lots of snow today! Been running 91 ethanol free all week, that combined with the low elevation and my truck feels like it picked up 50 hp!

Sweet! Extra ponies never hurt. What's the elevation there? Yeah I'm not dissatisfied by any means but, I do see an exhaust change in the future. I just can't stand the sound when I get on it.

Eau Claire is 800 feet lol. Lots lower than 5500. It's crazy how much more power I have at 800 vs 5500.

What muffler did you get again? Yea exhaust is tricky to get right if you're picky.

I noticed just in the small elevation drop to Moab that my truck felt like it woke up. I have a 18" oval center in offset out magnaflow. Im not terribly picky but the sound is just garbage when I'm on it. At idle I absolutely love it, exactly what I hoped it would be. I'll take you for a spin when you get back and you can give me some ideas.

Right on, did you say you went with 3" pipe too? That's probably the noise issue if you did go 3". 2.5 is probably the biggest you want to go.

Already pushin a 2.2 pulley SC.

Would of gone 2.5 but I read that 3" was the way to go for SC.

I am not anexpert on intake/exhaust airflow by any means, especially with an SC and headers, but I suspect the sound you don't like is at least partially due to the size of the pipe after the muffler. I'm with Marc on this one.

FWIW, I have the identical muffler but with stock size pipe and it sounds awesome at WOT and idle and everything in between. It will be interesting to hear Marcs eval of yours. He has driven my truck and heard how it sounds so it will be an interesting comparison.

Yeah looking forward to his input. Sometimes the best way to learn is trial and error. Easiest route is to cut the muffler out and go longer since I have the room. If push comes to shove I will scrap it and build it different. Kinda stuck kickin it out the side now that I have a hole there. It's not so much the drone it's WOT. I sound like a teenager who threw a glaspack on his V8 lol. If I had shelled out money for a kit and paid somebody the labor it would hurt more than it does, but at $200 it's a cheap lesson learned.

Id go 2.5" I run that out of my offset in center out 14" magnaflow. And it sounds awesome when you're on it.

I still think your biggest issue though is the side exhaust. That makes it loud AF in the cab and annoying ass drone. Mine is piped out the back so it's super loud but not killer in the cab. Unless you're at 4k ripping up a hill..

Hey guys I got a question, I have seen around Cody and Powell a red double cab long bed, with full armor, a high clearance rear bumper with tire carrier, 33's, and a bed rack with a roof top tent. It's pretty flippin awesome, I was just wondering if anyone knew the owner or if he was here on TW. Thanks

That's what I figured, I'm in Cody, but I don't really know anyone on this forum. I saw it a hand full of times this summer in town, but I stopped seeing it, then just 2 weeks ago I was in Powell and I saw it.

Yea that's my dads rig. Though I'm responsible for how it is today ha it's pretty awesome. I'm driving it as my dad right now or Frank. Wave if you see me. Be happy to let you look it over. It's a great truck. Hauls ass for a fully armored LB dbl cab with 34s haha rides so nice too. It's a fun rig. More refined then Frank is haha

Marc, seriously. I'm super impressed with the ride of the Ads setup on the FRV. Can't wait for rear shocks on Frank.
