TRD Pro 17"x7" rims / Terra Grappler G2 tires (265/70/17), 35% tint. Part # on the rims is PTR20-35110-BK. Bought them at Olathe Toyota (Kansas). The website is: http://parts.olathetoyota.com/oe-toyota/ptr2035110bk
I know a lot of people are curious as to what rims and tires look good on a stock 2016 Taco...I bought these from a Toyota dealership (EBay) and the tires are usually about $170 a piece but they took a trade on my new stock tires, which left me with only $270 for all the tires.

The Toyota part # for the rims is: PTR20-35080.
The tires are BF Goodrich All Terrain TKO2 265/75/16.

    Stock suspension.

Nice stormtrooper look. Everything but the body just disappears. I wish the KO2's came in a lighter load range though.

It's just KO2, technically "All-Terrain T/A KO2," and I vote for white letters out. It would pop a lot because right now it is all just a lot of black.

Not feeling it. To me the TRD wheels are much better looking. Nice truck though.

Those are TRD wheels. And if you want to run a 16-inch factory wheel this is one of the best options.

I like the 17" TRD Pro wheels (that half of the 3rd gen owners here seem to be running) a bit better I think but these you picked aren't too bad... just wouldn't be my first choice personally.

Yeah I just wanted some opinions. I'm one that loves the "black & white" look. As someone pointed out, these are TRD rims. The stock option on the new TRD Off Road Tacos are very boring. I'll be selling them ASAP, as they'll never go back on this truck...

Looks great IMO, just change the grill. I think those are the exact tires I'll be running when my stock ones give out.

Why, because of the extra weight?

Does anyone know why the 17" you can get in C or E load for 265/70, but the 265/75-16 (essentially same overall height) only comes in E load? Is it because of the sidewall size of 16 some reason requires stiffer? That doesn't really make sense to me because plenty of tires with softer sidewalls and non E ratings, so why not a C rated 16" KO2?

Isn't an E load kind of overkill for a truck with ~6500lbs towing capacity? The only benefit being slightly tougher sidewalls that may hold up better to rock crawling, right?

Extra weight and stiffer ride would be my guess

17-inch wheel is more common these days therefor more demand than 16 wheel which only us offroaders want. Yes E load is way overkill for these trucks. Less chance of a puncture on the trail but even a 6 ply sidewall has pretty damn good puncture resistance.

Did the ebay retailer take a trade on tires or did you only get the rims from ebay and the tires elsewhere?

Thanks for the feedback, ya'll...the tires were purchased at a local tire shop. They gave the trade-in (Discount Tire in Massillon, OH). The rims were purchased via EBay (Toyota dealer in California). With shipping, I paid around $725. I should be able to get decent money on the OEM rims that came on the truck, which will offset the cost. Yeah, I kinda wish the grille was black, too...that may get painted flat black in the near future...

Feedback on the tires, they told me about that when I bought them, but honestly, they ride really nice. No complaints at all. They feel just like the OEM tires....quiet n smooth.

Would a Load C tire be better on gas? Or just provide a softer ride?
