Both are great setups. We do have a truck here that now has the 6112s on the front, and he says that they are way smoother over speed bumps and such. Being as the 6112s are roughly a 2.5" Diameter shock, they do have a lot of dampening ability and oil capacity.

I bought the 6112/5160 combo from headstrong. I am very happy with mine.

I settled on the 6112 last night- I'm planning on buying all of my stuff from y'all actually. Have you heard about settings of the 6112 though? I was thinking the 4th setting (~2 inches) but don't want to lose a lot of ride because of the spring compression. I'm guessing this setup was designed to still have a smooth ride no matter what setting it is on? Also a concern I have is my rear setup. I plan on getting the Dakar possibly with the extra leaf (I run a camper shell and plywood organization in it) and I don't know what Bilstein rear to get.. I have read the standard Bilstein 5100 rear is too short. I was looking at the 5125 but folks say you need an adapter but yours on your site doesn't look like it does?

    Thanks for your time!

People do seem to be getting more lift than what the settings are spec'd at. But I know they do settle down after some miles. The 4th setting is a good option though. Get some extended top-plate studs and we can always add a small spacer later if needed.

The ones we offer do not need an adapter, but you may need to modify your bumpstops/contact point so that you don't bottom out the extra long shocks.
