So butt up to the wall, mark it, make a line 2" lower, back up the truck and set the level to that mark?

If you look at the center of your headlight lens there's a round circle mark that you measure to. Then measure 2" lower on a wall 25' away. Mark the wall with tape to aim to. That's where I started and I ended up dropping it a tad more.

I understand but depending on the height of the truck from the start we all will end up with different heights. I was just curious if there was an average or a target height one tries to hit on the average car.

Yeah not sure if there's a standard headlight beam height.
My truck center of headlight is 43" My cutoff is about 40" at ~25'

I just set it below the average car's side mirrors. Some car are a tad bit lower than others but you can't please everyone. I'm not sure of there is a standard height. I'm curious as well

I tweak mine a lot. I got them to where I don't get bright lighted anymore but when I'm behind most cars I'm shining in their side mirrors. But then there are some cars where that doesn't happen. So I feel like I've set mine to the right place. Although the passenger side still hits almost all mirrors.

One thing I can't stand, is when I go over a little high spot in the road and I can see my cut off go up and over then back down to normal of a car coming at me. I get flashed all the time when that happens.

It's the headlight turning on. I'm gonna try to get a better video later in a parking garage that glare is bugging me in that video. Lol

There's nothing you can do about that. Just how it is. They happen to hit that color flicker at the right angle everytime haha heck, I know how they feel when I see the new corollas.
Did you do what I did, tap into your rear turn signals?

That was probably the simplest explanation of aligning the cut off I have seen in a while.

I just grab a pinch of grass. Hold it up in front of me and let it fall with the wind direction. Then I know where to set mine...:p

Those are the only reasons that prevent me from getting brighter bulbs. Every work night on my way home I approach certain hills that someone ALWAYS has to pass at the exact time my cutoff is to their roof, I just feel sorry and pray they're using the white line on their right to guide.

^ When you have a lifted Truck its going to inevitable at the moment you'll be beaming your lights higher than normal. Depending on the size of your lift and what you've done on your Tacoma, you'll sometimes invade lower vehicles with your beautiful output.

HAPPY HOLIDAYS TW & I HOPE EVERYONE HAD A MERRY CHRISTMAS

I've been away for the Christmas Holiday Weekend after a much needed break. I am currently answering all emails and getting back to everyone. We ran into some delays on a few builds due to TRS and Toyota Stock. We placed a large order with Toyota and we had a longer wait for the headlights as they were on back order. TRS was also out stock on certain Halos and the wire harnesses. This caused us quite a crazy scramble before we both flew back to Southern California for the Holidays.

We've finished a lot of lights and we've contacted everyone in regards to getting shipment out asap. I'll be headed back to our shop earlier than planned to make sure we finish our commitments. These lights are looking spectacular with some of the last minute changes for a few clients. We love working with you guys and sometimes those last minute changes will cause us delays. However the end result will be worth the wait!
