    Some stuff here and there....
So just went to alibertos for lunch. Came back and proceeded to blow my bathroom at work up. Kid comes up knocks on door. I say its occupied. The kids mom says stay there little Jimmy he will be done in a min. I finish up a couple min later and come walking out mom smiles I walk away to the kid screaming oh my gawd! I just start busting up laughing and look back at the mom and then walk away. Oh I needed that laugh

All of 110 miles since I left the lot yesterday. She's a big girl. Ride is nice for a 3/4 ton truck. Probably similar to most 1/2 tons. Coils on all 4 corners helps. Cruises along the highways real nicely. Interior is nice, especially for a base model trim level. It's tall, I'm usually seeing alot of the roof on stock 4x4 Tundras.

The offroad stuff is neat with some interesting catches. Solid front axle with electronic swaybar disconnect. Will work in 4hi or 4lo, but tries to lock when you get over 18MPH, then disconnects back under about 15MPH. But taking Table Mesa Rd past the Little Pan trailhead up and down towards the river yesterday, it was nice to feel the front end moving freely and the cab staying still. Diff Locks work in 4lo only. Turn dial to the first click for rear locker only, then next click will engage the front locker after the rear is engaged.

Hill Descent Control is neat, basically crawling cruise control. 4lo, hit the HDC button on the dash, then it maintains a set speed. Use the manual shift +/- buttons on shifter to set/adjust speed. Ends up being in 1km/h increments (.6, 1.2, 1.8, 2.5, 3.1, 3.7 mph) displayed in the odometer.

Quite abit of storage room under the rear seat. Seat bottom folds up as 1 piece. Molded/raised perimeter to contain stuff. Plus 2 bins/coolers with inserts under trap doors on each side, just inside of the doors under the floor mat are nice.

Yes, it's overkill and thirsty for a DD/Towrig considering I have the buggy. But the options/prices/availability made it the best choice. My primary desires were for a big V8 gas engine, 4x4, 3/4 ton with the basics (cloth seats, carpet, power windows, tow mirrors, etc) The dealer had some Tradesman 2500s for about 35k, backup camera but no bluetooth. Next step was about 38k for Tradesman 2500s that added bluetooth, but also the RamBox. After that, the Big Horns were 41-42k. I got the Tradesman Power Wagon with bluetooth, backup camera, trailer brake controller, and parking sensors for 40 + TTL. All the non-PW trucks had crappy street tires and 18s or 20s and I'd have been wanting/thinking about tires/lifts, etc. With the PW, just tint the windows, rubber floor mats, and think about a tonneau cover/bed liner at some point.

What's your SC putting out? Pulling left into the 'hood earlier, 410hp put me sideways FAST. 7000lb slows the overall accel down some, but she boogies more than enough for me.

hell if I know.. lol. if I had to guess maybe around 320-350.. Once The Ucon EMS hits the shelves for the 09+ taco.. I will add that plus a smaller pulley. hoping to creep up towards that 400 mark then.

I love how the Power Wagon is ready to go out of the box like you said. I love the features.. and that 6.4...

I am always going back and forth between what to do once the truck is paid off (its getting closer).. get a Rzr or the like for a toy and keep the truck simple for a DD... or continue building the truck and get a DD/tow rig.

just got a simple lift on her
Thank you very much, my buddy is actually going to let me use his.
    Thanks a ton for offering!!

    well the decision is easy:
if you want to work on your shit all the time, spend loads of money on parts fixing it all the time, and not be able to mob it that hard, get a truck.

if you want something you barely ever have to work on, something that will out romp your truck by a ton, is bad fucking ass, get a RZR or a SR1 rhino ;)

honestly rzrs are too much $$$ for my blood, but the 4wd is a very nice aspect to have because it can go virtually anywhere......

i saw a SR1 with 4wd for sale..... it was beautiful. lol

i say dont turn the truck into a toy. will break all the time unless you drop 50k in it.

i was in the dunes for 9 hard days in my sr1 and i only lost a bolt to a coolant hose and thats it. had to pull out a wrench once for like 2 minutes.

the year before in my truck in the dunes for 9 hard days, on day 3 i broke my front diff, day 5 i broke my rear diff and cracked my frame half way in half in the front. as well as pulling out tools all the time on breaks and wrenching on the bitch when all my other friends were just hanging out and enjoying themselfs....

the not working on your shit life sure is nice.... hahaha!!

But your truck and my truck are completely different animals. Lol by toy.. I mean it hitting harder trails that might cause damage, mods that make it less DD worthy and more weekend warrior worthy, etc.

Exactly why I'm not doing much more to the Tundy. Will be pulling a RZR ASAP to beat on and go anywhere. Or a Can Am Maverick in white.

I grew up learning to rock crawl in the east, so the buggy is my choice. Speed hasn't ever been my primary motivation. Can't be this close to the highest concentration of world class rocks and not try to enjoy it. I'll keep the buggy as long as I'm in the 4 corners region. If something takes me further away, the PW will be awesome for exploring and general trail riding.

The fairly stock but awesome-ish DD that doesn't need work is a great thing. At least the toys can be parked and left alone as needed. But still have to get to the j-o-b.
