Pretty much right now it is added character. Weather is nice in San Diego but there sure is a lot of people there.... Too many for me. And the traffic likely hasn't gotten any better since I've been there!

Yep,I'm going to have to take pics in the morning. Mailbox door is bent and whacked, newspaper container got knocked off but I put it back on for now. I hate that sinking feeling of sliding sideways and you have absolutely no control. At least I wasn't on the side of a mountain looking a couple thousand feet straight down. Can fix up everything though so guess not worth getting upset over. But really planned on taking care of my saggy ass end first with some Dakars then my air bags that I already own. Erh make that the trucks saggy ass end!

sorry. Do you have any extra weight in the bed?? If not, you might want to add some.

Yup. I added two sand bags to my truck bed last night because of projected icy morning conditions... hence my non-damaged new mailbox post @Cold Iron. :)

Yep. I used to tie down a sand bag behind each wheel well (to prevent them from becoming missile hazards). But I have sliders with expanded steel fillers, rear bumper guard from Avid, ARE MX cap with carpet, 3/4" plywood shelf with 1/4" rubber on it, OEM bed mat, and replaced the corrugated inside tailgate with solid steel and lined it with 1/4" rubber for the dog to have better traction when I do field inspections and comb out.

So don't carry sand anymore, my rear sits so low even other Taco owners say I have saggy butt! Chit just realized that I still have a gallon of milk in the back and it is going to freeze and bust open and create a mess, forgot about it till now. Thank you Susan!!

    Same as everybody else...
Subway...your mailbox is built better than my Ranger. Did you have issues with someone mucking with your post? A buddy of mine had a problem with someone pulling the post out. He did something similar to yours. No more problems...

Yup - kids ran the entire 3 block neighborhood and pulled out mailbox posts and switched them all around. Funnier than shit the next day. Everyone trading back their mailboxes.

Thanks Jim, and good eye on the antenna! He is a Nova Scotia Duck Tolling Retriever. The black nosed one in my avatar is 12 now and retired from hunting but still my buddy, my job to take care of him now. The pup is wearing a TT15 GPS collar that is tied to my Garmin Alpha, I can track him within a few feet up to 10 miles away. Ironically it uses Russian satellites and GLONASS in addition to the American ones. LOL and with more accuracy then when I first joined the Navy and we used Sat Navigation on the ships.

With a young dog they can take off after game and get confused in the big woods. Superior National Forest is huge and not many people to say the least. But my main concern is wolves, they are thick and protected now, it goes back and forth on open season. They will attack a dog in a heartbeat and I want to always know where the dog is.

Fresh wolf track above the pups prints when we were hunting. Did an about face and got out of there. With snow you see just how many there are.

Yea the new technology is mind blowing! We have coyotes everywhere here. It's pretty bad. In the early 80's I worked on a swordfish long liner off the southeast coast of Florida trying to fulfill my career ambition of joining the coastguard that wouldn't accept me do to back problems. Any way we had becon buoys on are main line high flyers. They helped save a lot of gear. I thought at the time that was the
    Neatest thing!
