    New report...

You know how you shouldn't go off roaring alone without a recovery kit on slick red clay while it has been raining for a few days...

I didn't take pictures of the action because I was fearful I wouldn't be able get moving again. A lot of sliding and almost rolling over occurred.

    Here us the aftermath though.

I do have to say that I am happy that when I dropped it to 4lo the truck crawled out if everything. I didn't use crawl control because the terrain was such I wanted to make sure I had the speed and momentum to get through the worst parts. Haven't really found a use for crawl control now that I think of it, not saying that it doesn't have its purpose.

Over by Cornwallis and TW Alexander. There are a lot of YouTube videos of folks exploring around there.

Edit:There are also some places on Page road by I-40 that people tackle a lot, I haven't been there yet though.

Let me know a time if you want backup. I also recommend those videos as the stuff around by Page Rd appears to very rough.

I took mine down to beach about an hour south of where I live in Texas to play in the sand and get a glamor shot right after I got it. Unfortunately on the way out I also found a mud pit that brought my fun to a temporary halt. Luckily there were people around to help me out and I went home and ordered some recovery gear for the next trip.

Yup, The second I got in I realized I might as well be on racing slicks, no crawl control was gonna save me from that one.

dang, that's some serious mud. The day I got mine I went around the pond at our local nature center. When it rains it creates a lot of mud holes kind of like that one. I looked at my wife and said nope, not with these tires and simply turned around. There wouldn't have been anybody around to help me get out.

I ran the edge of the pit going in, on the way out I looked at my girlfriend and said I'm running the meat, needless to say she got a good laugh. There were other trucks wheeling in the area, I most likely would not have hit it if I was completely solo.

This pic is AFTER the plows came.
Actually, we got about 12 inches this morning and I did my first test drive in the white stuff where the plows did not go. Very impressed. Could not make it slide even when I tryed. Then I switched the track and slide control off, turned back to 2WD and had some fun. But even then, the truck corrected a bit with ABS and what not. I will find that control fuse...

Picking up my truck Saturday, was thinking about driving it through Divide Peak OHV near Santa Barbara since its on the way. Its mainly fire roads from what I read.

Has anyone been through there? Trying to gauge if its too Off-roady for a truck thats not broken in yet.

    Thanks,

As you can see, I'm in the passenger seat.... Wife wanted a shot at 4x4. She said it was just as boring as sitting in the passenger seat. She said she wants to go fast. I was like nope
